I got admission to Deshbandhu College through the CUET exam organized every year by NTA for the admission process in various national and state universities. I wanted to pursue a B.A. Economics honors from Deshbandhu College so I filled out the list of various colleges at Delhi University and hopefully, I will get the Deshbandhu College. There was no interview process and admissions were solely based on CUET scores. Moreover, Deshbandhu College is a good college for students who want to pursue their studies at Delhi University. It has a great infrastructure. Even though the teachers are not so good some of them are great.
I chose B.A. Economics honors because I have a keen interest in economics and this course provides great career opportunities. The faculty of Deshbandhu College is not so great. The teachers lack experience and their teaching method is very poor. Though some teachers are very good and help students a lot. Term/semester exams are taken twice a year and are timely. The level of exams in my course is very difficult. It takes a lot of effort to pass the exams and score good marks. There is no such fee hike policy because this is a government college and fees are very low to help students of all economic groups. Also, the government provides financial assistance to the financially weak students.
Internship opportunities are pretty okay in this college and an internship fair is organized by the placement cell of the college every year. Also, the placement cell keeps updating about internship opportunities through their social media handle. Although I have not opted for an internship till now.
Placement opportunities are not so great in this college. The average package is around 2.5 lakhs which is pretty low. To sit for placement you must at least be in the second or third year. The highest package ever offered is 10 lakhs. Not many students sit for placement in the college because they usually pursue master's or professional degrees. I also plan to pursue actuarial science after this course so I will not apply for placement.
Life at the campus is pretty good. The college has a good crowd and friendly students. The annual fest "Sabrang" is conducted usually in the month of March-April. The fest is pretty good and a great experience in your college life. There are not many sports and extracurricular activities on the campus because this college doesn't have a good ground and different spots. It only has a dedicated ground for archery and this college is a heaven for those who do Archery. Other activities like singing, dancing, etc. are done by various groups created by students. There are various groups created and run by students like dance society, fashion society, marketing society, etc. For the time being there is no hostel at Deshbandhu College and students who live in Delhi reside in their houses and students from outside Delhi live in rented flats and Pgs near the college.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
