Actually i wanted join the OUAT college specifically the Bsc forestry course as it provides a numerous facilities like external tours, horse riding, going on animal and bird census. I wanted to Stay connected with the forest. The admission exam is conducted by OUAT itself which is notified on the OUAT website it's cutoff mark for my course is approximately 120 marks out of 200, also my 12th and 10th standard mark was taken into consideration,no GD/PI is taken. I prepared for the exam from physics wallah application
I choose this course because I wished to become a civil servant specially a forest conservatory and through this course it is easy to achieve my goals. faculty are great teacher have qualified PhD and some are in ongoing PhD and their teaching methods are excellent they teach through smart board instead of black board and they take us many study tours to widen our intellect. My course consists of 8 semester in 4 year, each semester there is a mid term and a final exam ,the difficulty level is moderate . Since my college is a government college,so fee hike policy is not applicable for it and cost of study is appropriate for a middle class family i.e 62950rs for 1st semester then the fee goes on decreasing . scolarship are provided by the state.
No internship is provided by our college but in the 7th semester we have work under an ACF on a project provided by the college for 2 months and after completion of 2 months we have submit the presentation and give an GD about the topic in front of RCCF
Still no placement is provided by the college but the placement cells are going to open soon .we can also get employment as an agriculture officer or a census officer, we could also become a teacher by completing Msc and PhD . My plan is to become an assistant conservatory of forest ,for which I require to qualify the prelims, mains and interview of OFS exam.
Each month fest of different branches are celebrated in the OUAT campus like annual fest in April , sports meet in January, farmers fest in February etc. Library is common to all branches, books are available for different branches and different subjects. classroom are provided with projector, biochemistry lab, soil lab , seed lab etc. sports such as basketball , volleyball, football, cricket, kabbadi etc and dancing , singing , playing instrument and provide by our college. Group like literary group , sports group, dramatic group, cultural group are run by students. I have opted for hostel and the hostel food quality is good, for any fest food is prepared by our hostel itself hostel registration is done in offline mode at the college by the hostel supervisor.
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
