- Campus was so beautiful with sceneric lakes and mountains
- Campus Life was good and interaction with seniors was also good
Dislikes
- I don't like food here , it was very hard to adopt
- I have experienced three earthquakes in last semester which was scary
Remarks :
I chose this college because it was one of the best colleges in India, ranked 7 in engineering in India by NIRF. The good thing was there was no ragging and placements were good The bad thing was the food, it was not nice To join we must get good scores in Jee Mains and Jee advanced Selection is based on jee advanced rank but to write JEE's advanced Cut off for general-news boy for civil engineering in our college was around 1100 to 1350 every year My rank was 1302 so I got into it To ace Jee Advanced we need to have a clear understanding of concepts and we have to write many exams as exam patterns will not be given before the exam so we have to be prepared for any type of question
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose civil because I have a passion for it. The faculty were very well qualified but their teaching methods were old-fashioned Sem was around four months long The first month of the semester we will not have any exams, but from the start of the second-month quizzes will start not all subjects have quizzes some only have mid and end seems. By the end of 2nd month or the start of the third month, our mid sem will be held by the end of the third month and the start of the fourth month quizzes will be held again by the end of the fourth month end sem were held The fee hike has been very minimal in recent years there has been no fee hike. The cost to study per semester 100000 is tuition fee and around 30k to 50k hostel and mess fee So 1.5 lakh per semester If you have any scholarship, the tuition fee will be reduced There are two scholarships provided by the college 1. Meb - 100% tuition fee waiver 2. oeb - 2/3 tuition fee waiver Every student has a 1 lakh health insurance
Placement Experience :
Placements were good despite the recession This year 11 - 1+cr jobs offers were received and 90 - 50+ lakhs offers were received highest package was 2.05 cr Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, Benz, etc.. Avg package for btech and bdes was around 25 lakhs I want to do a Master in abroad
Campus Life :
These were some fests held in our college, month is approx Udgam - January Alcheranga - March Techniche - September Spirit - August Our central library was one of the best libraries a college could have in India Various books from every category are present, various journals are also present Classrooms were Air conditioned and had projectors, the infrastructure of the classes was pretty nice We must have been in some sports course for two semesters, Many clubs are there, technical, cultural, and sports clubs Alcheranga Fest website, cepstrum website, many fest websites, and some college websites and applications were managed and developed by students Food quality was ok but the taste was bad, hostels were hygienic and very affordable.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
