- I find our campus life quite enjoyable and overall good.
- The faculty is good and we have our fest during February.

- 1. Infrastructure is average and currently new buildings are under construction.
- 2. We don't have many events in our college.
Remarks :
1. Du, short for Delhi University, is already considered to be one of the most prestigious universities in India. In order to secure admission, we had to take an entrance exam called CUET. Based on our scores, we were allotted our respective colleges. To increase our chances of being accepted in the first list, we had to fill out our college preferences in the admission portal according to our raw scores. Kamala Nehru College, where I am currently studying, is an above-average college with a great faculty. Although the campus is not as grand as the ones in North Campus, it is decent and well-maintained. The infrastructure of the college is moderate, but the teaching standards are commendable. It is advisable to manage your expectations and not compare them to the grandeur of North Campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As a student pursuing Sociology Honours, I have had the privilege of learning from highly qualified professors whose teaching methods are commendable. The course itself is an enriching experience for those who are passionate about studying and understanding the diverse cultures and societal norms of both India and the world. The term exam this year was conducted on time and had an average difficulty level, which was fair and appropriate. I have paid approximately 12800/- for my first year of study, and it is worth noting that the college provides scholarships to eligible students based on specific criteria.
Internships Opportunities :
As a first-year student, I haven't had the chance to pursue any internship opportunities yet. However, I've heard from our seniors that they are currently involved in working with various NGOs, which has given them an excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience in their respective fields.
Placement Experience :
Kamala Nehru College has been facing challenges in terms of placements and job opportunities, which are currently below average. Despite this, there is some good news for students of the journalism department, as they have been able to secure placements that are at par with the industry average. The average salary package offered for these placements ranges from 5lakhs to 6lakhs. However, the college has been making efforts to provide students with the necessary experience through internships. Different courses offer unique internships that help students gain practical knowledge and exposure. For instance, students of sociology often get opportunities to work with NGOs and contribute to social causes, which provides them with valuable experience. Overall, the college is committed to preparing students for the real world and providing them with the necessary skills and experience to succeed in their careers.
Campus Life :
From my personal experience, I find campus life to be quite enjoyable overall. As a women's college, we have a unique environment that fosters a sense of community and empathy among us. One of the things that makes college life exciting are the various societies that we have for different activities such as fashion, dance, singing, and more. Additionally, we have a range of sports clubs that cater to different interests. Our library is quite renowned in the university, and it is always buzzing with students who are either studying or seeking out new knowledge. However, one thing to note is that KNC does not offer a hostel facility, but we do have a canteen area where we can grab a bite to eat. While the food is not exceptional, it caters to our basic needs.

IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
