Life in IISER Pune
Remarks :
I am interested in doing research and becoming a scientist that's why I chose iiser. Iiser prepares its students for research starting from the UG level itself. The main bad aspect of IISERP is its hectic academic workload. I got admitted into IISERP through IISER Aptitude Test which is an annual entrance test. It tests your ability in PCMB. The difficulty is comparable to JEE mains and neet. I started my preparation by preparing for the next. School math knowledge and NEET-level prep for PCB were enough for me to crack the IAT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I am interested in research. At first, I was mainly interested in biology and now it shifted to climate sciences which comes under the Earth and Climate Sciences department in IISERP. Faculties are well qualified. All of them have a PhD and at least 2 years of postdoc but many of them aren't good at teaching. The course curriculums are designed in a really good way, especially for Biology and ECS. A semester is 4 months long and two sem exams and quizzes occur in between making the academic life a bit hectic. We get 3 months of summer break and this time is given so that students can do summer internships. The fee has increased but not very much for the past few years for BSMS.
Placement Experience :
There are placement opportunities but most of the students choose to do a phd after BSMS. Most of them get to do that abroad too. A lot of students also do their master's thesis abroad. Some students also go for UPSC or MBA.
Campus Life :
Club activities and an annual fest occur in IISERP but aren't very active due to the huge academic workload. The annual fest is called KARAVAAN. It is below par when compared to nearby colleges and other national institutes. The library and classroom facilities are really good. Both are well-furnished and air-conditioned. The library is a little small for a college library. A lot of books are available but very low seating facility. Classrooms have most of the modern teaching equipment. Disha is a student-run club aiming to educate underprivileged students and they are doing a really good job in it. There are a lot of varieties of food and the pricing is also reasonable but the quality is often below par. There are two messes in the dining hall complex and the bottom one's negligence caused students to be admitted to hospital due to food poisoning.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
