The reason I chose this college was this college was specialized in commerce after SRCC. Under DU, only 2 colleges are specially programmed for commerce which are SRCC and SGGSCC. Also, SGGSCC has the best crowd.
Starting with the fees, GGS has the highest fee which is 30000 for bcom prog and it is justified as well because I have been to other colleges and the infrastructure and cleanliness they had is very poor! But in GGS you will find the best infrastructure. Coming to exposure, in GGS more focus is given to internships as it is mandatory to have 50% attendance but not that compulsion that we can’t sit in papers. It is Lenient in that case because they know most students are focusing on CA, CFA or internships Also, you will have the chance to network with the crowd who are doing CA, CFA, and FRM ( mostly account and finance courses) Also talking about faculty, the teachers here are the assets of the college.
Yes, I interned at an NGO. I got this opportunity from LinkedIn not from my college. Yes, we do have an internship fair but most of the students didn’t get an internship from the fair. Most of the students get internships from LinkedIn only.
I recently got placed at KPMG as an audit assistant profile. Around 60 to 70 companies to our college for placements and are still going on. And not only finance but marketing sales companies also come to our college. Our highest package went to 22 lakhs offered by Deshaw and the average would be around 4 to 5 lakhs. Most of the students from our college got placed!
Talking about the library, the library is huge! You will find all GMAT, CAT, CFA all types of competitive exams books, and past year papers. GGS does have a gym and a sports club where all types of indoor games are played. From shooting to basketball we have national players studying from our college. Being the president of a club in SGGSCC, I would recommend others to join to experience the best social life. Talking about the fest, I didn’t like the fest of the college!! It occurs in February.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
