One of the reasons I chose this college is because of the unique degree they offer, Robotics and Automation, I am in my third year now and the faculty has been pretty good. I got this college recommended by my elder brother who is in his final year now. The cutoff is pretty low for this college, first, there is its own exam SITEEE which happens once a year. There are NO interview sessions for this college and they also have a quota reserved for Gujaratis cause the dean is a Gujarati. The bad aspects of this college are that there is too much academic burden on the students and the mess food is the worst. There are a ton of assignments given and the faculty is not quite reasonable with you. For example, you would have to travel just for one day to give a single sheet of paper or presentation. Overall I would definitely recommend this if you are in for a fun ride.
The course is highly curated and specialized according to the latest industry and technological needs. The faculty in this college are all Ph.D.s and are highly experienced. There is a 5 percent increment/fee hike every year which most colleges have and there are also provisions for scholarships. For example, if you get a 9 GPA in a semester, then the scholarship amount will be adjusted in the next semester. And believe me, there are a lot of chances for scholarships here. The faculties are supportive of the extra co-curricular projects that you pursue cause the head will also be willing to mentor you and provide you with the necessary funding requirements.
I have completed my internship in my second year in a renewable energy company and yes the college promotes internships but not till 3rd year. The internship opportunities start from the second year itself with Microsoft coming for it and looking for the creamy layer. The college unfortunately values academic values more than internships and placements.
As of now, my department we didn't have placements till now cause ours is the second batch but there are a lot of internship opportunities in the college from Microsoft to Google. The eligibility criteria for placements is 6GPA and above and the recruiters are mostly TATA, Bajaj, Microsoft, and Google. The highest package offered was around 54LpA and it was offered to a student of the computer science department. The mechanical department holds the highest number of placements as their placement rate is 100 percent.
Life at campus is quite decent, cause you get to meet people from all backgrounds, even foreign students. Yes, you heard me right, there are quite a few foreign students on campus. You get to interact with them and know their culture and ethics. The infrastructure is the best I would say, there are all labs available for students including the 5G technology lab. There are a lot of clubs here also from coding clubs to music and dance clubs which are supportive for you. The college doesn't necessarily support the dance or music clubs but yeah it is pretty good. There are a lot of fests going on around the campus from various symbiosis institutes.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
