Remarks :
I chose this college based on my JEE Main rank. JEE main stands for joint entrance examination which is the entrance exam regarding pursuing btech degree in almost all colleges. After registering in OJEE counselling and undergoing allotment rounds I got my seat. The admission process was smooth. They informed well before time about the schedule and the place where we have to go along with the required documents. And it did not take much time as different branches were alloted different days to make the process hassle free and smooth. As for EE branch the cutoff went about 1.9 lakhs for General category students. I chose this college as it is regarded as one of the best engineering colleges in Odisha. I knew it will not be the same as studying in an NIT but it will not be all that worse. So I applied for pursuing Btech degree here. It has been good so far. Looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that come on my way in the next few years.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is designed in a way so that it can end within the time alloted except a few subjects where the syllabus is getting overboard. Again the syllabus is made for college semesters and might not help that much in case of entrance examinations. The faculties of my branch are highly qualified and have good teaching experience. Some of them have been teaching here for about 30 years and are thus very much experienced. The teaching method is convenient enough. One can understand easily if one pays attention in class. But the issue that arises is the syllabus gets lengthy so the faculty find it difficult to go at their own pace. As a result sometimes the syllabus gets rushed and we have to take other help to understand the course. The university has been strict regarding the timing of exams. Difficulty level was moderate. There are many scholarships available. One can go through the website of our college to get an idea. Financial assistance opportunities is also present.
Placement Experience :
As I am currently in the first year, as such I am not much aware about the placement scenario. I have heard of recruiters visiting and my seniors getting placed. Last year the highest salary went about 34 lpa and the average was about 6-7 lpa. After getting the degree, I intend to get a good placement in the campus.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is normal; not that great but not that worse also. Events have taken place in between to freshen up the mood. In October last year(2023) we had Zarzuela a type of mini fest, followed by IYDP in November. Perception,the annual technical fest happened in March. The annual sports fest also happened in March. The annual cultural fest Xtasy has also been in the cards. Overall it has been a great occasion to enjoy life on campus. The library has the required books as per the curriculum. Many sports and activities are there for the people interested. There are clubs both cultural and technical and getting associated with these clubs one will get to learn new things and can also indulge in various extra-curricular activities. But at the end its not mandatory to join the club's. It depends on one's interest regarding the particular field. No I am a dayscholar so am not eligible to answer regarding the hostel scenario.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
