IIM Amritsar is on its way up the ladder of success. The companies that come here for the placement season are great. Though there isn’t any permanent campus, you’ll surely cherish the hostel life here. The only bad thing about the college is we have to travel through college transportation to reach the campus for classes which wastes a lot of time. I secured a 93.38 percentile in CAT which aided me in being selected for the further round. We had an online personal interview which went pretty well. I prepared for the CAT and my PI from a reputed coaching institute named TIME.
Academic Voice IIM Amritsar isn’t the best of all the IIMs but it’s pretty fine and decent. Some faculties are very good some are not. The term exams were every 3 months which made the course rigorous. The difficulty level of most of the exams was moderately hard. The fee hike policy here is bad. The previous cohort to ours paid 13lacs which increased a lot during our year.
After the completion of our first year, we must do a two-month summer internship in the choice of our domain. Lucky me, I got placed through the campus. I got the opportunity to work as a Digital Marketing Intern where I learned a lot of new skills that’ll aid me in my career forever. There were a lot of companies that came to the college for internship placement. There were various roles these companies were offering but mostly Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Everyone is eligible for placements. ICICI Bank and Lombard are two of the biggest recruiters who took around 25 students. The highest package offered this year was 52Lacs to the batch topper in UAE. And the average package increased to 17.5 Lacs this year. The batch had 100% placements. If I talk about my own goals after the completion of the degree, I would want to get recruited through Campus Placements.
The life at the hostel is pure bliss. There are a lot of Committees and Clubs one could be a part of. If I talk about the hostel, the MBA here is a residential program so we don’t have a choice. The food at the hostel is great, that’s the best thing! The rooms allotted to us were more than clean. Talking about the fest, the annual fest named Aarunya is conducted in February every year.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
