Like any other medical college in India, you have to clear NEET to enter into AMCH. As per cutoff is concerned, now a days it is around 580-590 out of 720. In NEET 2020 it was 557 for the general category. I have chosen this college because it is the oldest medical college in the entire northeastern region. It has a tremendous patients load which is basically a good factor for medical students to learn about all kinds of diseases and have a hands-on experience in managing those disease that occurs in this part of the country. Also, AMCH has a big playground and is known to hold a strong position in cultural events among colleges of Assam. All these things made me choose this college over other medical colleges in Assam
To provide accessable health services to the needy one was my dream since childhood. To turn my dream into reality MBBS is the best route possible. Moreover, MBBS always provides a stable financial career. The faculty here are highly qualified. Most of the professors are famous and highly respected doctors of this region. Teaching methods are exceptional with their style of teaching methodology. Term and internal exams are on time. It is conducted under highly strict surveillance and the difficulty level is as per Indian medical standards prescribed by NMC Fee hike is never an issue in government run medical colleges in Assam. We only paid one time during admission . Apart from that we have to paid mess dues only which is around 2500(varies from hostel to hostel) Regarding scholarship, students here apply for various scholarships. "Ishan uday" scholarship provides tremendous financial assistance to the needy one. People also get minority scholarships, caste-based scholarships, etc.
There is no problem regarding job opportunities in mbbs. You will have to do paid internship in our own college. Government of assam pay around 36000/month for compulsory internship year. After that everyone have to one year rural posting in PHCs of Assam as a medical officer. After that one can apply for PG programmes.
If you want to enjoy campus life along with medical life in Assam, come to AMCH. No other medical college in Assam has such huge playground, auditorium, open stage, amphitheatre and what not. We have annual college fest known as Synapse which includes all the sports events starting from track events to cricket , football; from drama competition to bihu events; from mr and miss amc to mime competition; from singing competitions to drawing competition and what not. Books are available in library and there are ample space available in library. There are two lecture hall each containing digital classroom facility. Hostel is food is edible. Mess have both vegetarian and non vegetarian menu. We have option to choose to any one. Mess provide breakfast, lunch, snacks in the evening and dinner.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
