- Hostel mess food sometimes disappoint us.
- Sometime due to heavy rain, electricity supply gets cutt off in the hostel premises .

factors for choosing this college At first, Assam Medical College is the first medical College to be established in Assam and the whole of North East India. Therefore the reputation of this college is incomparable. Many experienced doctors are here and learning from them has always been my dream. Being an AMCian is always a matter of pride here in Assam and North East. To get admission we have to crack for NEET-UG entrance exam. Our admission procedure was semi-online mode due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As such no interviews were taken, only some tests were done by various departments. Our college's good aspects include-lecture halls with all necessities, seminar hall, CME's. Many extracurricular activities like sports week, cultural week, and literature week are also held to give the students opportunities. The campus is very safe and student-friendly including good infrastructure hostels. Not such bad aspects of this college. I prepared myself for NEET UG by properly studying and taking 1 year of coaching.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it has always been a dream for me since childhood. I always wanted to help the needy as much as I could. To be able to improve the health of the ill and be able to give free treatment in the rural areas. All the faculties are highly educated and experienced. They do their best to make every lecture interesting and less boring by making PPTs with videos in them. Exams are conducted timely and we have to appear for 4MB(final exam) for 4 years of MBBS which also includes assessment exams. Exams get difficult towards the final year as lots of syllabi have to be covered. The fees are not so high in government colleges. We only had to pay 30k at the time of admission around 4k for appearing in MB exams yearly and 2k to buy clinical log books yearly. Also, mess dues of 3k have to be paid monthly to the hostel.
Internships Opportunities :
After MBBS every student has to go for 365 days of internship for which an amount of 35k is given to them monthly. Every month interns are posted in different departments where they learn the necessary It's pretty hectic when it comes to internships but it's really helpful for the future.
Placement Experience :
An internship of 1 year is given after completing MBBS. As such no campus placements happen. You get placements in different departments for which a stipend of around 35k monthly is given to every student. After 1year of internship, we have to go for rural posting for one year for which a stipend of 40k monthly is given after which we have to crack the NEET PG exam for placement in our dream department.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very joyful and chill. The evening troll around the campus detoxifies our day-to-day stress. Every year College Week "synapse" is held which includes various events that give a platform to many students. An Interhostel, as well as Interbatch cricket, football, and volleyball, are also held annually. The library is well accommodated with medical books from UG to PG level with a book borrowing facility. Marrow notes are also available. EBook services will also be available shortly.24x7 electricity services are also available. The classroom consists of a smart TV, projector, AC, and well-ventilated A union is formed under which sports, literary, cultural, gym, and social service committees are formed Our hostel mess is private and provides decent food with a menu that changes every month For registration, we have to give an application to the administrative branch of our principal and a monthly fee of 3k On renting room Paltan Bazar, located near AMC is preferred by the college

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
