- The academics and innovative environment of our college is too good all students get proper amount of time for their self growth।
- The campus life of our college is quite good. We get much proper time for enjoyment during the season of techfests and sports week.

Remarks :
The Government Engineering College, Bilaspur, located in Chhattisgarh, is a reputable institution in the entire region of chhattisgarh for Mining Engineering. 12th Maths students can gain college admission through two routes: national JEE mains or Chhattisgarh state CGPET exam. The cutoff marks for admission are different for each class.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our entire course curriculum is prescribed by CSVTU Bhilai. Presently b.tech degree is offered in 7 engineering branches in our college which are Mechanical Engineering, Mining engineering, Electrical engineering, Civil engineering, Computer engineering information technology, Electronics and telecommunication engineering. Adequate number of experienced faculty are available in all branches who have very good knowledge of their subject. At present all SC, ST and OBC students are provided class scholarship and all those students who are meritorious are provided merit scholarship.
Internships Opportunities :
During college, it is mandatory for students of all departments to undergo industrial training of one month duration twice. Apart from this, all the students also get internship through other facilities on their own strength. Majority of mining students take their industrial training from the subsidiaries lf coal India limited mainly.
Placement Experience :
Since this college is a tier 3 college, placement in the college is offered only by a limited number of companies. Every year the company takes admission in college for computer and IT students and provides a minimum package of Rs 4-6 lakh per annum. For civil and mining, Tata and JMS companies come and provide a minimum package of Rs 4 lakh per year.
Campus Life :
The environment of the college is very innovative. Tech fest is organized every year in our college during March-April which lasts for about 1 week. At the end of the fest, a college annual event is also organized which is quite enjoyable. Similarly, at the end of February, sports are organized at the college level in which all the students participate fully. Students of every branch in the college are very interested in their subject. Many apps have been created by the CS students of our college in the interest of the college students so that they can get better information about their college. All the students are bringing glory to their college at national and state level. The students of Mining Department also got place in the national level tech fest held in nit raipur last year. The hostel facility of the college is also good. All eligible students get hostels every year.The college has provided 3 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels.

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
