College experience in DY Patil school of medicine

- I would say I really like the infrastructure and campus life that DY Patil provides. Infrastructure is amazing. The surrounding gardens are well maintained and gives a peaceful vibe. Campus life feels like a bollywood movie. There's always some or the other event happening. Music concerts, celebrity visits, IPL games..etc
Dislikes
- I really don't like how our department of Allied health science is managed. Exams are not announced on time and not conducted on time as well. Exams questions are many times not from the given syllabus. First and second year lectures are not upto the mark. Allied health science or BSc students are given very low priority by the college. Curriculum is very confusing. Our work is not being taught to us during our posting which will make it very difficult to find jobs once we complete the course.
Remarks :
I chose this college because of its urban location and amazing campus. There were no rounds or admission interviews, seats were given on a first come first serve basis. The admission process went smoothly and quickly. However, the academic lectures and activities weren't up to the mark. Lecturers mostly read from PowerPoint presentation and no proper explanation was given in the first two years. It improved in the third year as we got assigned experienced professors.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of its broad career prospects. The curriculum is comprehensive. Lecturers read to us from ppt, we never understood half the lectures. MBBS interns too have given us lectures. There were very few lectures from MD/MS professors. We got better lecturers in the last year. Exam dates are never announced on time, syllabus was never given on time. We had to repeatedly request for it to be given. Even then there always are syllabus questions that are not rectified by the paper setter and we lose marks. Exams have been postponed frequently, 4 times in 3rd year. BSc allied health science students are not given priority. We are posted in the hospital but no one is bothered to teach us anything about our work. The hospital is over-staffed by students and interns.
Internships Opportunities :
An internship in our college is mandatory after the degree. The college has signed an agreement with us saying they will provide us with an internship without paying any stipend amount. Our role is to work as a team with the doctors on diagnosing, treating the patients, and assessment of progress.
Placement Experience :
There are no college placements that take place. Students are all on their own. I plan on getting trained outside in a hospital setting alongside my college postings as we are not being given adequate or satisfactory training in our university hospital.
Campus Life :
The campus is the most amazing in Navi Mumbai, with multiple events h, celebrity visits for movie promotion, etc. Concerts by singers such as Sunidhi Chauhan, and recently by Hollywood singer 50 Cents, students sometimes get free passes. National and international level games like FIFA, and IPL take place in DY Patil stadium which is inside the campus. Student sports are not very happening even though all sports facilities are available (gym, swimming pool, tennis court, cricket grounds, etc) great food is served in the campus cafes and hostels. The hostel is expensive, I prefer a rented apartment, I am staying in Nerul West Sector 6. There are PG options 5 minutes away from the college that cost 5k per month.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :
i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate
SNDT,MA Psychology
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience
Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

Placement Experience :
The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.

Placement are very good there are multiple job opportunities provided in a college multiple companies also visit for the placement in second third year students also internship provided and multiple students get PPO from that internship so but in 2024 the internship and placement both ratio is little low or the highest placement gone till now is only 35 lakh per annum
