- College location is very good , campus infrastructure is pretty outdated but over all good.
Dislikes
- College infrastructure is not that good , campus is very small and compact.
Remarks :
Proximity from home, very good placements, getting the desired branch, very nice and developed city of Chandigarh were the main reasons for choosing this college. I had to take the JEE Mains examination to get enrolled in this college. The cutoff for general category students to get enrolled is 94-95 percentile. I did 1 year of preparation for physics wallah online courses to get enrolled
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is a bit outdated. It consists of some subjects that do not add a significant value to a person's skills. Practical knowledge loss is very limited, theoretical knowledge is promoted. The faculties don't teach that well, you have to study for semester exams by yourself only. There are exams almost weekly like there is a quiz every week. 1 end sem, 1 mid sem, practicals, viva. The difficulty level is pretty okay, not that tough like appearing for the JEE exam.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I have not opted for any internship opportunities yet but planning to pursue them very soon. The internship opportunities are very good, if you have a CGPA of 7 and above and have decent skills, you can get an internship very easily. The highest intern stipend is about 2.5 lakhs.
Placement Experience :
Placements are very good. Many core companies visit the college for eg - L&T, Tata, Volvo, airbus, Maruti Suzuki, etc. For core branches, a decent average placement is like 10lpa per annum. Nowadays due to the recession, the placement percentage has fallen to 51% but last year it was above 80%.
Campus Life :
The campus is very small in itself. If you have read that it is 150 acres then it is false. The campus area which is limited to a student is about 30-40 acres. Although the campus is small and campus life is not so good the life outside campus that is Chandigarh is amazing, it feels like there is no need for a campus in such a beautiful city. Almost all sports are available to play like table tennis, tennis, badminton, swimming, cricket, volleyball etc. Hostels are in pretty bad condition. If you are a fresher then you will be accommodated in a double room in the Shivalik hostel for the first year then you have a choice of a single room.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

Placements are average on comparison with other private colleges around here Highest package this year - 11.3Lpa The teachers help very much in placements and internship . The TPC cell of the college is dead for their work

Placement Experience :
The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
