- Faculty members of the college are well qualified, always looking forward to help the students in any possible way.
- Campus of the college is quiet small but still very peaceful. You get a forests covered environment which is very helpful for the students.
Dislikes
- Since there's no hostel provided for the students, students always depend upon the PG's or renetd room around the college.
- UIT is a part of Himachal pradesh University but due to separated campus , there are many facilities given by University but UIT's students aren't able to take advantage of all facilities.
Remarks :
Since it's the only engineering college under Himachal's present university, it has become the best engineering college around Himachal Pradesh. An entrance exam is held for everyone to enrol into the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty of the college is very good, always helpful to the students. The teaching techniques of the teachers are also very good . End-semester exams are held after every semester. It's easy to pass the exams if students study properly throughout the whole semester.
Internships Opportunities :
Students can join different internship programs according to their needs. The college provides all the permissions required for the internship. Further stipend depends upon the type of internship selected by students.
Placement Experience :
The placement rate of the college is very good. Last year's average salary package was about 6 LPA. Further, it depends upon the students how much they can perform in the interview for the placement. There are several companies which come to college campuses every year to hire students.
Campus Life :
UTKARSH is one of the best fest held in Himachal Pradesh University every year by the students of UIT. Usually held in December. Since there's no hostel available for the students, student depends upon PGs or rented rooms around the college.
