Likes
- Laboratory practice are nice. You have to do your experiments by yourself and you free to any instrument in lab.
- The campus is very green. It's full of trees. You will not feel like it's in the middle of city.
Dislikes
- No placements guarantee. You have either give a government exam and any exam, job interview or either do a PhD.
- No canteen in the campus, no shopping centre or stationery shop either.
Remarks :
I am in the centre for Basic Sc department and the degree is of integrated MSC Hons program. There is an entrance exam for this program. Only 60 students are selected. The syllabus for this exam is 11 and 12 ncert whether you are from maths or biology. I just studied the course of 11 and 12 for this exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is excellent it includes the course of NET JRF although it might be a little hectic. Facilities are nice and available for you anytime they also share their experiences with us. The top 40 students only will receive a scholarship of 5000/ month which is based on attendance. And if you fail in any subject the scholarship of that semester is cut off for general and OBC. Sc st will receive it later.
Internships Opportunities :
I have internship which I will be joining in a few days at NIT Trichy. You can apply for internships through various programs such as Fast and SRFP. Bonnified with provided by the institution but you have to do your internship while the studies are going on in the department as there is no summer vacation.
Placement Experience :
This department provides a degree of BSC hons. And there's no guarantee placements though a senior of mine is pursuing a PhD in organic chemistry at NYU New York. And another is going to join her soon.
Campus Life :
This course provides a hostel comp for everyone. Everyone in my batch is amazing and I have a healthy social life. The infrastructure is fine and the room provided is spacious. The fees for the hostel are 4000 per semester and the fee is 2500 as of 14 June 2024.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
