Likes
- Very aesthetic, the old-ish feeling, and also Miranda wins almost every flower competition per season (for good reasons). The campus is pretty no matter what is said and done.
- I'll give a solid 8 on the looks and royal feel ;) plus we do have 3 major eating places (food is always a plus!- quite v affordable too).
Dislikes
- Because it is old, most rooms don't have AC's and even some rooms lack proper working fans- so in summers it's a kiln.
- Some roofs are tearing down and apart due to lack of maintenance
Remarks :
Wanted to get into Delhi University and Miranda House is the best women's college in North Campus- so I just took the plunge when the opportunity showed itself. I am very grateful that considering I'm from the covid batch, I was able to get in after writing all my Boards.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course was the BA Programme (History and Philosophy)- both the subjects that I love. I also took this course here because Miranda is known for good quality peering as well and I wanted to surround myself with growth-worthy people (not to sound rude, but it was a great opportunity for personality development). Faculty no doubt seemingly quite appreciative, but there were a few lacks here and there which I was expecting from a Govt. college- so it was ok.
Campus Life :
The college campus is very beautiful but is quite old. There have been additional new buildings for the science labs and all, they have workable ACs. The old rooms will eat you up in the summer but living in Delhi you will be tolerant to heat either way. The North campus around MH is a great hub to meet like-minded people- the tapirs, the cafes

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
