SGGSCC is a college of commerce affiliated to University of Delhi, so one gets admission here through the CUET exam. Your CUET score decides if you get into this college and generally the cut-off for this college goes pretty high. Although it's an off-campus college, still the faculty, infrastructure and overall campus life do not disappoint you. It is in many ways better than many colleges on the south campus and a couple of north campus colleges.
The Course itself is designed according to the NEP and it's a very practical course with good elective subjects that help in your career. The faculty here is also very professional and well educated with decades of experience yet updated with new technology and teaching methods. Academically, this college is very knowledge-oriented along with opportunities in co-curriculars, college societies and personal growth.
The training and placements cell provides internships as well, in the fields of HR, PR, marketing, consulting, finance etc. I got internship opportunities through LinkedIn in the field of HR and PR marketing.
The Training and Placement cell of SGGSCC is very active in providing internship and job opportunities to the students. Every year many big companies like KPMG, Deloitte, Baine, EY, PWC etc come to the college for placements. The Placement Cell also organises numerous workshops and seminars to make students placement-ready. This year the highest package went for about 25 Lakhs and an average of about 5 lakhs which is impressive for an undergraduate course even during this time of recession.
College campus life is something to boast about. The college is a khalsa college with reservations for sikh minorities and the overall environment is usually accustomed to all that. There is a Gurudwara within the campus. The college societies are also very active, some of them being the best in DU and renowned for their great legacy. The best thing about this college is its infrastructural facilities which even fail the private colleges. State-of-the-art classrooms with air conditioning and projectors in every room, 3 story library, a spacious canteen and a dozen other amenities that make this the best in DU. With the NAAC++ ranking it stands pretty high in hygiene and cleanliness standards as well.
The hostel facilities in this college are available only for outstation female students. But again the facilities provided in the hostel are also premium, every room air-conditioned, separate beds, study tables, cupboards, regular laundry and cleaning and common room and mess. The fee for the college hostel is somewhere around 1.5 lakh per year but it is all worth it. For those who can't stay in a hostel, the locality of Pitampura is also very student friendly where hundreds of students live in pg and flats all over the city which are both affordable and good to live at, which is usually not the case in many areas.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
