Why Pec is a fine College to Attend
Remarks :
It is a well renowned college and it is near to my city. The college's reputation is very high being in the City of Chandigarh. JEE Mains is the exam I gave for admission into PEC. There were no other rounds like GD. I am in Electrical Branch And it's cutoff usually goes around 35000 rank.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Some faculties who serious about teaching do teach very well, but some others just come speak and go. There are many different scholarships in the college alot including the alumni of the College, on the caste basis and the merit basis.
Internships Opportunities :
I have just started my Third year at the college, so the intership cycle has just begun and I am still looking for an internship in the college. The highest stipend that a company gives in our college is 1.5 lakh for SDE role.
Placement Experience :
The college provides alot of opportunities for placements and internships in the 3rd and 4th year. The highest package of the college is 83LPA for the SDE role. There are many different roles for which companies come to our college like finance or analyst.
Campus Life :
Our college has the biggest Fest of North India namely PECFest conducted in November each year. The library is pretty vast, we have books of different authors for each subject. The sports culture and clubs in the college are mostly active, so the campus life is pretty good here.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Rooms are okay but the food in the hostel mess is the worst in the first two years hostel for boys. The 3rd and 4th year mess is pretty good. The hostel allotment process is tiring as you have to spend almost 5 hours in lines to get it done. The pg around are close to college but those are a bit expensive.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
