- The thing that i like the most is the lecture hall complex and our faculties .
- Also i like the cultural events even if it occurs in very few numbers.
Dislikes
- The thing that i have the most is this open campus.
- Also as there is no auditorium so we have to attend our guest meeting at lecture hall complex.
Remarks :
Besides the campus life, everything is good here in our college NIT Jamshedpur. For admission into our college, we have to qualify for JEE Mains with a good rank. If I talk about the cutoff, for cse u have to score 99.8 percentile to get a seat here and for Civil it goes roughly 97.4 for the general category and with little variations for other categories.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is not that haptic. As teachers are supportive and well qualified so we have to put only a little bit extra effort besides classes to get a good cgpa. Talking about teachers they are very well qualified and some of them are gold medalists from prestigious IITs so no doubt. Talking about exams then we can say that every 2 and half months there is an exam that appears at either the sem or the end sem. But scoring in those exams is not as difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
Getting an internship at the start of 3rd year is a little bit haptic because u have to compete with around 750 students to get it. Internship opportunities are offered to roughly 50 students. The internship consists of a basic idea all round with some coding questions. If got selected u have to submit 3-4 projects assigned by the companies. Talking about companies offering internships are Atlassian, Google, Tata Steel, etc.
Placement Experience :
Talking about in-campus opportunities, companies came to our college at the start of 3rd year to pick some students for internships and from starting of the 4th year companies came continuously to offer job opportunities to the students with a good package. Our college is known for its exceptional placements which maintains its superiority in India.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In this college for general students you have to pay roughly 116000 rupees per semester but also there is fee remission i.e. full tuition fee is remitted to SC, ST and PWD students i.e. they have to only pay 49000. Also, there is fee remission for those students whose income is less than 5 lacs. If their income is below 5 lacs and above 1 lacs they get 2/3 remission i.e. they have to roughly pay 65k per semester while if income is below 1 lac students have to pay only 49000 i.e. again full remission. But be sure that at the time of admission other than SC, ST and PWD students everyone has to pay 116000 there after u can get remission from the second semester also the extra amount u have paid during 1st semester is also returned.
Campus Life :
The major drawback of our college is its campus life. There is not even an auditorium. As the campus is not closed so there is always a risk of being hit by someone. Now besides this if I talk about our lecture hall complex. No doubt it is a plus plus point as it is equipped with wifi, a.c, projectors, etc. Now talking about clubs there are various clubs regarding cultural, coding, technical, etc. Cultural clubs include ROOH for singing and highlighting instruments glimpses, beat breakers club for dance, etc. Technical clubs such as Revanta for solar vehicle designing, Innoreva for electronics core, Pcon for coding, Phoenix for air planes model designing, etc. For sports, there is our annual Urja event to show sports skills, Culfest for cultural, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is compulsory for everyone attached to the mess. Hostel fees are 17000 per semester while mess fees are 16000 per semester. We got a double sharing room in the first year and from 2nd year everyone got their single rooms. We get four-time meals from mess and talking about its quality it is of ok type.

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.
Average University in Jamshedpur in low fee

You have to at least maintain 7CGA for sitting in placement season company like Wipro Infosys come here placement season. Average package of BBA is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80% Student are placed through campus placement. My plan after getting degree pursuing MBA
My Dream College
Placement Experience :
College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
Netaji Subhas University is best for engineering in low fee and for who is already doing job

You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.

The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Expensive college with mediocre placements
Placement Experience :
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
