Remarks :
Cotton is one of the prestigious colleges in assam.. it is a dream come true to study there. During 2022 admissions it was done on merit basis now it is done by CUET. You have to work really hard on class 11 and 12 to secure good marks on your board exams to qualify for cotton university
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because anthropology is a very interesting subject which helps us learn about the past generations. Most of the faculties here are ph.Ds and we learn through practicals. We give exams in every 3 months
Internships Opportunities :
I have offered internships from microsoft and others as well but i would rather focus on my subjects. The internship were of computers since my subjects includes history and science i dont think there is a need
Placement Experience :
First you have to complete the bachelors and then the masters and then the phD and then other competitive exams. Since I haven't completed my bachelors so not yet. Maybe trips to visit rural areas with everything needed
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for 5th sem is almost 4000 and it includes tuition fees which is 1000 rupees, library fee 200 welfare 500 IQAC100 establishment fees 300, students union 300 . Scholarship like ishanuday are given to students per year and also others as well!
Campus Life :
So in every year January our varsity week is been held. Many books are available in the library. Class rooms have green boards and needed number of fans.there is an indoor stadium and the taekwondo club and gymnasium club looks after it
Hostel Facilities :
I haven't opted for hostels. 2 girls hostels (NBD and SKL) 4 boys hostels (SNBC MNDP SMCH SRB) they provide meals even better than some of the pgs and its free of cost for the girls and boys. They are so good. I live in a pg in chenikuthi

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
