JNTUK UG Admission 2026

Undergraduate options at JNTUK include B.Tech, B.Pharm and B.Arch. AP EAPCET ranks are used for B.Tech admissions at the university and its affiliated colleges. At the University College of Engineering Kakinada (UCEK), the intake is 60 seats per branch, except Civil Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering, which have 30 seats each.

B.Tech Merit and Counselling

APSCHE allots B.Tech seats according to the combined AP EAPCET merit rank. Entrance exam marks account for 75% of this calculation, and Intermediate marks account for 25%. Applicants outside the SC/ST categories must secure at least 25% of the maximum AP EAPCET marks to qualify.

The online counselling process has 3 rounds. Students register, complete certificate checks, enter their preferred colleges and branches as web options, and report after receiving a seat. Each round includes option entry, allotment and self-reporting. Vacancies after the third round may be filled through spot rounds. Joining the earliest available round gives students the widest choice of options.

UCEK fills every seat through merit-based APSCHE counselling and has no management quota or direct admission route. Private colleges affiliated to JNTUK may offer management and NRI quota seats under Andhra Pradesh government rules. Students should contact the individual college for details.
