Established in 1980, the Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College was affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada. The college is AICTE and UGC approved, besides being NAAC A+ accredited. In 2024, The Times of India and The Week ranked it at 53 and 234, respectively for BTech.


SRKR Bhimavaram offers BTech in twelve specialisations. The candidate should have cleared 12th grade with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. Eligible candidates are selected based on their 10+2 scores and AP EAMCET Scores, followed by state-level counselling. 1860 seats is the total intake of the course. The total fees of this four-year program is Rs 3.08 Lakhs.
Additionally, SRKR Bhimavaram courses include BTech Lateral, BBA, MTech, and PhD.

Fee waivers and scholarships are awarded to students from poor financial backgrounds. The government provides several scholarships, including the e-Pass scholarship for Andhra Pradesh students, the Pragathi Scholarship for women from low-income families, the National Merit Scholarship for talented students, and the Saksham Scholarship for students with disabilities to support their education and academic goals.

SRKR Bhimavaram Placements 2024 ended on a positive note, with 735 students getting placed. The highest package offered was INR 18 LPA, while the lowest stood at INR 2.2 LPA. 117 companies participated in the placement drive, including Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Jaro Education and Reliance Industries.
