SRKR Admission Dates 2027

SRKR's 2027-28 admission cycle is expected to follow the usual APEAPCET schedule. Registration is expected in March 2027, followed by the examination in May and counselling from July.

Entrance tests and counselling arrangements differ by programme and seat category. APSCHE handles state-level counselling, while SRKR manages institution-level admissions where applicable.

SRKR Courses and Fees

SRKR provides B.Tech in 13 specialisations, along with B.Tech lateral entry, M.Tech, BBA and PhD programmes. All regular B.Tech branches have the same total fee of INR 4,20,000 for four years.

Traditional branches such as Civil, Mechanical and EEE are offered alongside computing-focused courses. CSE alone admits 300 B.Tech students. The available technology specialisations also cover AI and Machine Learning, Data Science, IoT and Cyber Security, and Computer Science and Business Systems.

SRKR Admission Process

APEAPCET, the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, is the main route to regular B.Tech admission at SRKR. APSCHE assigns state-quota seats through web counselling. SRKR fills management-quota seats at the institution level and may consider either JEE Main scores or APEAPCET ranks. As an autonomous college, SRKR holds its internal examinations while following JNTUK academic rules.

B.Tech (Regular)

Students seeking a state-quota seat must take APEAPCET and participate in APSCHE counselling. The regular admission sequence is:

1. Submit the APEAPCET rank and complete counselling registration.
2. Attend certificate verification through the web-counselling process.
3. Enter and confirm preferred college and branch choices.
4. Check the seat-allotment result.
5. Report to SRKR with the required documents and complete admission.

• Eligibility: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with at least 45% aggregate for the General category
• Qualifying exam: APEAPCET is compulsory for Andhra Pradesh state-quota seats
• Documents needed at reporting: Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, APEAPCET scorecard, transfer certificate and a category certificate, if applicable

Management-quota applications are handled by SRKR. Selection under this quota may use a JEE Main score or APEAPCET rank.

B.Tech Lateral Entry

A diploma holder from a relevant engineering field can apply directly to the second year of B.Tech through AP ECET, the Engineering Common Entrance Test. Working engineers who hold suitable qualifications may also be considered in selected branches.

M.Tech

M.Tech applicants need a B.Tech degree in the relevant or a closely related branch with at least 50% marks. Admission uses GATE or AP PGECET scores. Students who qualify through GATE may also meet the conditions for AICTE-sponsored student scholarships.

SRKR Placements

CSE and ECE account for much of SRKR's placement activity. During 2023-24, employers selected 735 of the 1,320 eligible students, producing a placement rate of 55.68 percent. That season recorded a highest package of INR 18 LPA from Data Insights and an average package of INR 4.5 LPA.

Recruiters seen in recent seasons include Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and Amazon. Other offers include INR 16.3 LPA from Darwinbox and INR 10.4 LPA from Intel. Beginning in the third year, the placement cell trains students in aptitude, coding and communication. CSE, ECE and IT receive most of the placement offers.

SRKR Rankings

SRKR is listed by both NIRF and The Week for engineering. It also holds NAAC A+ accreditation from 2023, and six of its B.Tech programmes have NBA accreditation. These accredited branches are CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil, Mechanical and IT.

The college has remained in the 251-300 NIRF Engineering band over multiple years. Its A+ NAAC grade is higher than the B and B+ grades held by some private engineering colleges in the same coastal region of Andhra Pradesh.

SRKR Campus and Infrastructure

SRKR's campus is in Bhimavaram, the commercial and administrative centre of West Godavari district in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Individual departments use separate teaching blocks, while students share central facilities such as the library, computer laboratories and placement-training centres.

CSE is one of the college's largest departments and admits 300 B.Tech students each year. The campus includes advanced computing and electronics laboratories, skill-development and placement-preparation cells, and internet-connected project laboratories for final-year research.

Students coming from outside Bhimavaram can use hostel facilities. Road and rail routes connect the city with Vijayawada at 175 km, Vishakhapatnam at 200 km and Rajahmundry at 120 km. These links make the campus reachable from different parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

SRKR vs Sir C.R. Reddy College of Engineering vs Vignan Lara Institute of Technology

SRKR, Sir C.R. Reddy College of Engineering in Eluru and Vignan Lara Institute of Technology and Science in Rajam are private autonomous engineering colleges serving coastal and northern Andhra Pradesh. All three have NAAC accreditation and accept students through APEAPCET.

Among the three colleges, SRKR has the higher NAAC grade of A+ and is the only one shown in the 251-300 NIRF Engineering band. CRR is another long-established option in West Godavari, having also opened in 1980, and has a comparable academic record. VLITS mainly serves Rajam, Srikakulam and the northern Andhra Pradesh region. Students from West Godavari commonly compare SRKR with CRR by considering available branches and the APEAPCET ranks needed for admission, since their facilities and admission routes are similar.
