VIT Bhimavaram Admission Dates 2026

VIT Bhimavaram B.Tech admission for 2026-27 is based on AP EAPCET 2026 for Category A seats. The earlier exam, result, allotment, phase-wise counselling, and class commencement dates have passed. The stray vacancy and spot admission stage is active in October 2026.

VIT Bhimavaram Courses and Fees

VIT Bhimavaram offers B.Tech in 9 branches and M.Tech in 5 specialisations. The B.Tech fee stays the same across all branches, so CSE, AI and ML, Data Science, Mechanical, Civil, and the other branches carry the same total fee.

The B.Tech branches are CSE, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Business Systems, IT, ECE, EEE, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. M.Tech is offered in CSE, AI and Machine Learning, Digital Electronics and Communication Systems, Electrical Power Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing. Hostel fees vary by room type and range from INR 79,500 to 1,25,000 per annum for girls and INR 85,500 to 1,17,000 per annum for boys.

VIT Bhimavaram Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admission at VIT Bhimavaram is divided into Category A and Category B. Category A covers 70% of seats and is filled through AP EAPCET counselling conducted by APSCHE. Category B covers the remaining 30% of seats and is based on Class XII PCM merit without an entrance test.

• Category A eligibility: 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with a valid AP EAPCET rank
• Category A selection: APSCHE conducts web counselling based on AP EAPCET rank. Students must choose college code VITB during option entry
• Category B eligibility: 10+2 with at least 45% in PCM. Students do not need an entrance exam and must apply through vishnu.edu.in
• Lateral entry: Diploma holders or B.Sc (Mathematics) graduates can enter the second year through AP ECET counselling

Category A seats follow the Andhra Pradesh government reservation policy for SC, ST, BC, EWS, PwD, and NCC/Sports categories. For CSE in the General category, AP EAPCET 2025 closing ranks at VIT Bhimavaram usually ranged from 10,000 to 25,000. Branches such as Civil and Mechanical had higher closing ranks, which means they were less competitive.

M.Tech Admission

M.Tech admission is through GATE or AP PGECET, followed by APSCHE counselling. Students who did not take these exams may get direct admission if they meet the eligibility rules and seats are available. A B.Tech degree in a relevant or allied discipline is required.

VIT Bhimavaram recorded 1,110 placement offers in the 2025-26 season. More than 88 companies visited the campus, and Amazon offered the highest package of INR 44 LPA to Sruthi Vaskuri. CSE and AI-related branches receive a major share of software and IT offers every year.

Recruiters include Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and several mid-tier IT and engineering services companies from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Students from Mechanical and Electrical branches also get placed in core engineering sectors.

VIT Bhimavaram Rankings

Vishnu Institute of Technology is listed in the NIRF Engineering 2025 rank band of 151 to 200. The institute also has NAAC A+ grade with a CGPA of 3.51. NBA accreditation is held by select B.Tech programmes.

The institute also has an ARIIA ranking from the Atal Innovation Mission for innovation and patent-related activity. NBA accreditation for selected B.Tech courses shows that those programmes meet national engineering education quality standards.

VIT Bhimavaram Scholarships

Financial support at VIT Bhimavaram mainly comes through Andhra Pradesh government schemes. SC, ST, BC, and EWS students from the state can receive help for tuition fees and hostel expenses if they meet the scheme rules.

Students need to apply for Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena through the AP Welfare Department portals while completing the college admission process. For eligible SC/ST/BC students from Andhra Pradesh, these schemes can reimburse the approved fee amount and make B.Tech education free.

VIT Bhimavaram Campus and Infrastructure

VIT Bhimavaram is in Vishnupur, an educational township near Bhimavaram city in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. The same campus area includes the engineering institute and other Sri Vishnu Educational Society institutions, creating an academic setting for more than 20,000 students across the group.

The campus has branch-wise laboratories, a central library with digital journal access, computer labs, an auditorium, sports grounds, and a health centre. Boys and girls have separate hostel blocks inside the campus. Academic and residential blocks have Wi-Fi and internet connectivity.

The institute supports research activity with more than 1,000 publications and over 230 patents. Its autonomous status from 2019-20 allows the college to design its own curriculum and conduct examinations outside the standard JNTUK pattern.

VIT Bhimavaram vs SRKR Engineering College vs Vignan’s University

Many Andhra Pradesh engineering aspirants compare VIT Bhimavaram with Sagi Rama Krishnam Raju (SRKR) Engineering College, Bhimavaram, and Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (Vignan’s University), Guntur. These are private engineering institutions in the state with either JNTUK affiliation or autonomous university status.

VIT Bhimavaram and SRKR Engineering College are both located in Bhimavaram and attract many applicants from West Godavari district. Vignan’s University has deemed university status, awards its own degrees, and usually draws students from a wider state-level applicant pool. VIT Bhimavaram has a higher NIRF Engineering position than SRKR and holds a comparable NAAC grade.
