Situated in Visakhapatnam, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering was founded in 1996. The college has been deemed “autonomous” by the UGC, although it is affiliated to the JNT University, Kakinada. One of the most preferred engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh, GVPCE has been ranked at 157 for BTech by the IIRF, in 2024.


GVPCE Visakhapatnam offers a four-year BTech program in 10 specialisations. Forms for GVCPE Admissions can be filled online, via the college’s official website. The candidate should have cleared 10+2 with 60%, along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Selection is based on EAMCET Scores, followed by a personal interview. The total intake for this program is 1140 seats. Rs 4.2 Lakhs is the total fees for this course. Additionally, the college offers a variety of other courses which include BTech Lateral Entry, MTech, and MCA.

GVPCE scholarships are awarded to meritorious and eligible students. Government scholarships like the MHRD scholarships are awarded to students with good intermediate grades. The college also reimburses full fees for students ranked up to 12,000, for children of non-government employees. The Janabhumi Post-Matric Scholarship in Andhra Pradesh provides financial aid to students from SC, ST, BC, Kapu, Minority, EBC, and Differently-abled communities, with income limits based on category. SC/ST students can get full fee reimbursement (excluding hostel fees) if their family income is below INR 2 Lakhs, and BC/EBC/Differently-abled students with an income below INR 1 Lakh are also eligible. Students must maintain 75% attendance each quarter to qualify.

GVPCE Placements 2024 ended on an excellent note, with the highest CTC being offered at INR 50 LPA. The lowest CTC offered was recorded at INR 3 LPA. Around 1197 jobs were offered to students by reputed organisations like Cognizant, CapGemini, Infosys, Wipro, L&T Technology Services, Microsoft, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra.
