BAU Sabour offers B.Sc, M.Sc, and PhD programs.
Applicants are selected by Bihar combined Entrance Competitive exam conducted by Bihar Govt. Students of the All India Entrance Exam conducted by ICAR Wii are also eligible for admission.
The criteria of this exam are merit-based. 85% seat of Bihar Agricultural University is reserved for BCECE pass out students and 15% seat is for All India Entrance Test pass out students which are conducted by ICAR.
The faculty of Bihar Agricultural University contribute to the welfare of Bihar Agriculture and are very cooperative.
The Dean of the Agricultural Department is Dr. Rewti Raman Singh.
Dr. Mizanur Haque is the head of the recruitment cell. As per recent data the highest CTC, offered in this university, was INR 3.5 LPA at the UG level.

PhD	Duration: 3 year Fee: INR 28,260/- Eligibility: Master's degree or its equivalent degree holder from a recognized university with 70%(65% for SC/ST) marks in total. Almost 90% of students get a placement at the PG level. Most of the placements offered come from the agricultural field. Some top fertilizer companies, pesticide companies recruit from this university. The highest CTC was INR 3.5 LPA in the previous year.

BAU Sabour Scholarship

Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour gives financial assistance through different types of scholarships. These are given to 15% of students of UG level.

Merit Scholarship	The university rank holder with 75% marks can get this scholarship.
Merit Cum Means UR Scholarship	It is given to University rank holders coming from weaker sections of the society. The amount is 12,000 PA.
Merit Cum Means Reserved Scholarship	It is the same as Merit cum means scholarship. But it is only given to reserved category students.
National Talent Scholarship	It is provided by ICAR to all Agricultural Universities in India. Students who enter the university through the AIEEE exam are eligible for the scholarship. The Amount is 2000 per month for PG and 3000 per month UG.
