BAOU UG Admission 2024

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University offers three major Undergraduate programs i.e. BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc which have a number of specializations. Below mentioned are the programs offered and their respective eligibility criteria, selection criteria, and course duration.

Selection to all of the undergraduate courses is based on the merit list.

Course Eligibility
B.A Passing in class 10+2 or successful in the BPP exam
B.Com Candidates who have passed in class 12th
B.Sc Completion of 18 years of age by July 2024 and have passed the eligibility test conducted by BRAOU. Or Pass in intermediate or its equivalent in science stream.
BLIS Candidates must have a bachelor's (B.E, Pharmacy, Bachelors of Law) degree from a recognized university
BSCIT Candidates must have passed class 12th or its equivalent or Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Information Technology
BCA Candidates must have studied 10+2 or its equivalent
BBA Candidates must have studied 10+2 or its equivalent
BCA Multimedia Candidates who studied 10 + 2 from Board of India or abroad or Autonomous Institute or Preparatory Programme for graduation
BBA in Air Travel management Candidates who have passed 10+2 or it's equivalent
BSW Candidates should have qualified class 10+2or its equivalent in any stream from a Council/University recognized by UGC 

BAOU BEd Admission 2024

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University offers B.Ed (2 years) with two different streams i.e. General and Special education. An entrance test is conducted to select the eligible candidates.

Course Specialization Eligibility Selection Criteria
B.Ed – Should be an Indian Citizen with an age of 21 by July 2024. Passed with 50% in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./ B.Sc.(Home Science)/BBM and/or in the Master’s Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/ Humanities/Sciences at the time ET. (40% for SC/ST/BC/PH) Minimum two years of teaching experience or as a temporary teacher in any State/Central/Govt/Union Territory recognized Primary/Middle/High School or Engineering degree with 55 % marks Students will be selected based on their performance on the entrance test
B.Ed (Special Education Visual Impairment(VI), Mental Retardation (MR), Hearing Impairment(HI) Should be an Indian Citizen with an age of 19 by July 2024. Passed with 50% in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./ B.Sc.(Home Science)/BBM and/or in the Master’s Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/ Humanities/Sciences at the time ET. BEd Entrance Exam Pattern

  • The B.Ed Entrance Exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) worth 100 points.
  • English Comprehension is worth 25 points, while Telugu Proficiency and Mental Ability are worth 25 and 50 points, respectively.
  • The B.Ed Exam for Special Education would have 40 points for English Comprehension and 60 points for Academic Skill and Reasoning.

BAOU PG Admission 2024

The university offers postgraduate programs in various specializations. The duration of these PG courses is 2 years. Admission to the following courses based on the qualifying marks in the last exams.

  • Eligibility: Candidates who have any UG degree from a recognized university are eligible
MCom Eligibility: Students who have graduated in any stream from a recognized university are eligible

Admission into PhD Courses offered at BAOU is based on the RDC Panel.

Ques. What are the selection criteria for the PhD program at BAOU?

Ans. Candidates must register online and submit a research proposal to be eligible for admission to BAOU’s PhD program. The university’s RDC panel will make a decision and publish a list of chosen applicants on the official website based on their study proposal.

Ques. What are the documents required for the BAOU Counseling process?
