KSOU admission takes place in two cycles, January and July. Karnataka State Open University offers more than 50 courses at UG, PG, diploma, certificate and PhD levels through distance and online learning. Admissions for the July 2026 session are open, and students can submit the form through the official admission portal.

KSOU Important Dates 2026

Karnataka State Open University runs admission in the January and July sessions. Students apply directly through the KSOU admission portal.

KSOU Admission 2026

Karnataka State Open University admits students to UG, PG, diploma, certificate and PhD courses in many fields through open and distance learning. The university conducts admission every year for the July session so that students from Karnataka and other places can study with flexibility.

Admission Procedure

Mode of Admission: Students are selected through the merit score secured in the previous qualifying exam.
Session: January and July sessions
Application mode: Online only during the admission session through the official course website

Registration Fee:
- INR 300 for B.Com./MA/M.Com /PG Diploma /Diploma and Certificate Courses

Selection Criteria

KSOU gives admission to UG, PG, diploma and certificate programs through merit.

KSOU Re-Registration Process 2026

Karnataka Open University lets current learners re-register for the next year or semester. This helps them move to the next stage of the program, keep their student status, receive updated course material and become eligible for the next set of examinations.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Only existing students of UG, PG, Diploma or Certificate courses who have passed the previous year or semester can apply.

Visit the official KSOU website and open the Student Login / Re-Registration area.
Enter your Enrollment Number and password.
Select the course and semester for re-registration.
