All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal offers admission in Medical, and Nursing streams at UG, PG, Super-Speciality, and Doctoral levels. The institute was established in the year 2012 as one of the six AIIMS under the PMSSY scheme. AIIMS Bhopal is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Indian Nursing Council.

AIIMS Bhopal B.Sc Admission Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for AIIMS Bhopal admission for B.Sc Nursing are as follows,

The course is offered only to the female candidates.
Students should be 17 years of age or above as of 31st December of the year of admission.

Ques. What will be the eligibility to appear for the MBBS Final Professional examination?

Ans. Students to appear for MBBS Final Professional must have at least 75% attendance in each subject both in practical and theory. Students will be allowed to write the exam only in the subjects where they have required attendance. Students will not be allowed to appear for the exams with deficit attendance. Condonation can be paid to attempt the exam only for one subject. If the students fail to attempt the exam due to lack of attendance, it will be counted as an attempt. Students with deficit attendance must attend the classes in the next term with the juniors and make up the lost attendance to appear for the supplementary exams.

Ques. What is the process to extend the duration of the Internship?

Ans. The internship is mandatory for all the MBBS final-year students. The internship is offered only when the student clears all the exams until the final professional. Students who must clear the supplementary exams can join the internship after the results for supplementary exams are declared. Under no circumstances, the internship can be discontinued. The duration of the Internship will be allowed to be extended only when there is a death of an immediate family member or the student becomes too sick to attend the internship. If the student becomes ill and cannot attend the hospital for clinical training, the student must submit a medical certificate from the authorized medical authorities. Ques. Ques. Can a student who is pursuing an MD, or MS degree in another medical college apply for the INI CET examination?

Ans. No. AIIMS institute does not allow candidates who have already completed their PG degrees from another medical college or the students who are pursuing their MD, or MS from another medical college to apply for PG admission at AIIMS. Such candidates are not eligible to take the INI CET examination. Their application will be rejected and no further communication will be entertained.

Ques. What is the stipend paid to MD/MS students at AIIMS Bhopal?

Ans. AIIMS Bhopal MD/MS students get a stipend as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. They get a basic pay of INR 56,100. The pay also includes 20% of basic pay as a Non-practising allowance, DA, 30% of basic as HRA. The pay is revises twice a year. The basic pay will be increased by 3% every year.

Ans. Students pursuing MD/MS courses at AIIMS Bhopal must not discontinue their program. Students must deposit their certificates with the institute at the time of admission. Ques. Is there an age limit for applying for the INI SS examination?

Ans. Candidates must be at most 35 years old to apply for the INI SS entrance examination. Age relaxation applies to students who are from reserved categories. OBC category students get a relaxation of 3 years. For SC/ST candidates, the relaxation is 5 years. No age limit is applicable for sponsored candidates. Commissioned officers and ex-servicemen get a maximum relaxation of 5 years.

Ques. What are the research facilities offered at AIIMS Bhopal?

Ans. AIIMS Bhopal offers state of art research facilities to Undergraduate students. The research centers consist of Real-time PCR, flow cytometry, HPCL, Biosafety cabinets, high-speed centrifuges, ELISA, chemiluminescent analyzers, and microscopes.

Ans. Candidates who are interested in applying for AIIMS Bhopal Skill Enhancement programs must apply for the course at least 8 weeks before the commencement of the course. Candidates must download the application form from the official website, fill it up and submit it along with the required documents. While applying, the candidates must specify for what duration they are applying for the course. The maximum duration of the Skill enhancement program is 6 months. The candidates must continuously participate in the program. No student will be paid a stipend for this program. Foreign nationals must have a valid visa and travel insurance to take admission in this program.

Ques. What is the age limit for Super Speciality admission at AIIMS Bhopal?

Ans. The upper age limit for DM/M.Ch (3 years) admission at AIIMS Bhopal is 35 years. The applicants must not cross 35 years of age as on 1st July of that academic year. If the candidate is taking admission for the academic year 2024, then he/she must not be born after 1989. The age relaxation differs for various categories of students.

The age relaxation is 3 years for OBC candidates.
For SC/ST candidates, the age relaxation is 5 years.
Commissioned officers including SSCO and ECO who have been released from service will have a relaxation of 5 years.
Sponsored candidates do not have a cap on upper age limit.

Ques. What is the application process for admission in Fellowship programs at AIIMS Bhopal?

Ans. Candidates interested in Fellowship Admission at AIIMS Bhopal must download the application from the official website and fill it up without any mistakes. After filling out the application and paying the application fee, the candidate must submit a passport-size photo, left thumb impression, and signature on the portal. If the applicant fails to upload any of the three, the application will be rejected. No candidate must submit more than one application. Multiple applications will result in the rejection of all applications.

Ques. What are the requirements for Fellowship admission of Foreign Nationals/Overseas Citizens of India?

Ans. Foreign nationals or Overseas citizens of India can apply for Fellowship program admission at AIIMS Bhopal. Foreign nationals must submit their application to the institute through a Diplomatic channel. The candidates can apply online by picking their choice of specialty. No seats are reserved for foreign students, They will be considered for the seats that have been reserved for sponsored students. The applicants must be registered with MCI before applying for admission. Foreign nationals will not be paid any emoluments. Nominations and the NOC must be submitted with the institute before the Admit card is issued.

Ques.What are the Ph.D admission rules for in-service candidates (AIIMS Employees)?

Ans. Government institute scientists and AIIMS Bhopal in-service faculty members can also apply for Ph.D admission. However, they must meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute. Applicants who hold a Fellowship degree, in-serivce faculty members, and scientists are exempt from the written test for admission. They will be evaluated for admission through personal interview. The in-service candidates must produce an NOC from the competent authority in the institute. The in-service faculty can apply for study leave and join the Ph.D program.

My POV of life at AIIMS BHOPAL

What I Liked

Social life at Aiims Bhopal is the best perk any college can possibly offer.
Infrastructure, state of the art technology and opportunities to learn.

What I didn’t like

There's nothing specific I hate as such.. But to mention 2.. 1. Campus timings sometimes do bother. As we have to be in the hostels by 12pm.
2. Mess food can get really bad in terms of taste at times. But that's entirely a personal taste.

Remarks:

The admission is based on the rank one achieves in the NEET exam with an average cut off rank somewhere between 500-600.The admission process is offline and has 2 elements. First being document verification and the second being a medical examination The main reason for choosing the college was the work life balance and no language barrier for me.

Knowing AIIMS bhopal better

What I Liked

Infrastructure is commendable ! Facilities provided are much better than other colleges
Fest are really good, RETINA being my favourite in which students from different colleges from India come to attend it. 5 days fest with concerts or DJ nights every day and many other activities

What I didn’t like

ACs are not allowed in hostel , but I'm hoping soon they'll allow this as it is process
Hostel timing is till 12 at night, earlier there was no hostel timing. You were allowed to go and come even at 3 in the morning

Remarks:

There were no interviews, NEET got me here, and my rank was 1313. The college has good ratings and infrastructure, the city is nice and the location of the college is good. It's an INI so its reputation is good and students from all over India come here.

My college has very good infrastructure. A very big playground, and gym are also available in this college, The Hospital are also available near to the hostel, The Hostel is very good, environment of the college is very peaceful, All the essential requirements are available near to the college Examination name - AIIMS BSC nursing, by clearing this exam you can get admission to the BSC Hons nursing course in AIIMS. The mode of this exam is CBT. You must be 12th pass and the syllabus of this exam is 11th and 12th CBSE syllabus. It is a 100-mark exam in which 1/3 negative marking criteria are applied. Cuttoff for a general student is 70 or more 70 .. when you qualify you have to participation in the counseling process and according to your rank eligible AIIMS is allocated to you ..Then you have to go to the allocated AIIMS and complete all the admission procedures. I am preparing for this exam online.

Sometimes food of mess gives disappointment

Remarks:

AIIMS DELHI conducts an AIIMS nursing entrance exam every year, to provide BSc nursing courses with different aims according to the marks and ranks. Cut-off for General is normally high as compared to another caste. Application filling for this form is completed in 2 steps. After a few days exam dates and centres are out. The exam is neither too hard nor too easy. The level of the questions is good. The exam is generally in online mode. The questions are totally NCERT based on classes 11 & 12 combined. There are 10 extra questions of General knowledge. The exam contains minus marking as well. After the exam, results are announced online by a list of candidates selected for counselling. After a few days, the counselling starts. Different AIIMS have different cut-offs for colleges, so make sure to fill those colleges first which match the priority with your marks and ranks accordingly. After the counselling. A list of candidates with particular AIIMS names is announced.
