Eligibility Criteria

  • Aspirants seeking admission to a 3-year Full-time Ph.D. program should have passed post-graduation in the relevant stream from the recognized university. For the GN/EWS/OBC (NC) category a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and for the SC/ST/PwD category a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates applying for admission must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, or a Master’s or equivalent degree in Science, or a Master's or equivalent degree in Arts/Commerce (or allied subjects). Additionally, candidates must fulfill one of the following additional requirements:

a) Possess a valid GATE/CEED score.

b) Have been selected through the National Eligibility Test – UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship).

c) Have been selected through a National level examination conducted by MHRD or its agencies/institutions such as UGC/IIT/IISc./IISER/IIIT, etc.

d) Have been provisionally selected for the DST-INSPIRE Fellowship (provisional award letter to be produced).

e) Have a minimum of TWO years of professional experience (acquired after obtaining the qualifying degree and completed before the start of the semester in which admission is sought).
