The Fakir Mohan University was established by the Government of Odisha. Fakir Mohan University is named after prominent Odia writer Fakir Mohan Senapati. This University is also recognized by UGC under section 2(f) of the UGC Act in11 February 2000. Apart from this, it is also been accredited by the Association of Indian Universities with the vide their letter No. Meet: SC: 261:2K/108693, dated 22nd August 2000. Currently, this university is functioning at the VyasaVihar campus. recently there is another new campus at Nuapadhi which is started functioning. In this university, all the PG departments are computer-based. The main characteristic of this university all the students are covered under insurance Health. This university is providing education mainly in MSc, PhD. & M.phil.

Fakir Mohan University Admission 2022 has started for Integrated B.Ed, M.Ed, and BA LLB Courses. The last date to submit the application form for B.Ed/ M.Ed is July 15, 2022, and for BA LLB, the last application date is July 30, 2022.

Recently they have started Basic Mathematics and Reasoning course imparted to all PG students to Equip them in the employment market. Also, they have started a personality development program and campus interviews for the undertaken students.
