The Tamil University was established at Thanjavur, by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1981 under the provision of Tamil University Act No. 9 of 1982. In 1992, the university offered M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines. Later, the university also introduced PG courses in humanities and sciences.

The university offers various PG programs such as M.Phil, M.A., M.Sc., PG Diploma, and Ph.D. programs in both full-time and part-time mode.

Ans. The student has to pay the prescribed fee along with the examination fee to receive his/her individual mark sheet and the provisional certificate. The same is included as part of the fees for the final examination. The details shall be provided on the exam application form.
