VELS University UG Admission 2025

 VELS University offers various courses in UG levels like B.tech, B.Sc (Hons), B.Pharma, B.A, BBA, B.Com, BCA, B.ED, B.P.Ed. in various specialization programme. UG courses and their specializations branch shown in the below table.

Eligibility Criteria

• For B.Tech: Passed (10+2) examination with physics/ mathematics/ chemistry/ computer science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business studies/ Entrepreneurship. (Any of three)
• For BBA/BA/B.Com/B.P.T: Pass in (10+2), or Equivalent in any stream
• For B.Pharm: A pass in (10+2) with physics, chemistry, maths or Biology/ Botany and zoology with English as one of the subject
• For B.Pharm(Lateral):A pass in D.pharm course from an institution approved by the PCI under section 12 of the pharmacy Act.
• For B.Sc: Pass in (10+2) or equivalent with Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Botany/ Zoology/Biotechnology/Bio Chemistry/ Nutrition &Dietetics / Microbiology/ Science
• For BCA: Pass in (10+2) or equivalent with Maths / Computer Science / Business Maths / Statistics
• For BA LLB/BBA LLB/B.Com LLB: Pass in (10+2) , or its equivalent
• For LLB: Pass in UG degree from recognized University
• For B.Ed: UG Degree in Tamil/ English/ Mathematics/Physics/ Chemistry/Botany/Zoology/Computer Science/ History/ Engineering from recognized university.

Selection Criteria

•  The selection in the B.tech course is based on the Merit on VELS Entrance Examination & merit based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination. 
• The selection in B.Sc/B.Pharma/BBA/B.Ed/BCA/BPT course are based on the merit on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination together with 10+2 marks
• For other BA/B.Com, admission is based on the merit list on the bases of performance of 10+2 mark sheet.
• For BA LLB/BBA LLB/B.Com LLB courses: Merit - based on Vels Entrance Examination Score and Merit- based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination

Vels University Cutoff

VELS University PG Admission 2025

VELS University also offers 2-year duration PG courses in branches like M.Sc, M.tech, MBA, MCA, MA, LLB, LLM, Ph.D., etc but Vels Candidates who have a bachelors degree are eligible to apply in the PG level courses.

Eligiblity criteria 

• For M.Tech: Candidate should be pass in B.E. / B.tech (computer science / Mechanical /Production /Auto /Manufacturing / Mechatronics) with 55% marks.
• For MBA: Those students who go to a Business Analytics course associate with IBM, then he/she student scores the previous professional or non-professional course minimum 50 % marks then he /she are eligible to apply.
• For M.Pharma: B.pharmacy degree from an institution approved by PCI with 55% marks as per PCI norms.
• For M.Sc: Degree in B.Sc Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Home Science, Physics, Genetics, B.V.Sc, B.F.Sc (Fisheries), B.Sc. (Medical Lab Technology), BDS, MBBS, B.Pharmacy, &BSMS
• For MCA: BCA/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Equivalent degree
• For LLM: Pass in LLB/5 Years Integrated LLB degree from recognized University

Selection Criteria

• Selection to MBA based on merit on the behalf of marks scored in the qualifying entrance exam (CAT, MAT, XAT, VEE).
• For Intergrate MBA: Merit based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates who are the holders of A&B certificate of professional bodies or societies (eg. AMIE) recognized by Ministry of HED, Govt. of India are considered as equivalent to B.E are selected in the M.Tech course.
• Selection to MCA based on merit on the behalf of marks scored in the Vels entrance qualifying exam.
• Selection to M.Sc/MPT/MA course based on merit on the behalf of marks scored in the qualifying exam.
• Selection to M.Pharma based on merit on the behalf of marks scored in the qualifying entrance exam Velsand has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks in the qualifying examination.
• The selection in Pharma D. and LLM course are based on the VELS Entrance Examination & merit based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.

VELS University Diploma Admission 2025

 Vels University provides many courses in diplomas. For diplomas, there are 11 specializations branches available at Vels University

Eligibility Criteria

• Very simple eligibility Criteria you pass 10th and or equivalent the 10th.
• Diploma in Mechanical/ NavalArchitecture / Electrical/Electrical and ElectronicsEngineering with minimummarks of 50% in the final year.The candidate should haveobtainedat least 50%in English in 10th or 12th Standard for Diploma course.

•  Selection to Diploma based on merit on the behalf of marks scored in the qualifying entrance exam Vels.

VELS University M.Phil & PhD Admission 2025

The Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS) offers doctoral-level courses like M.Phil and Ph.D..Admission in the courses is based on the entrance exam conducted by the college. However, candidates who passed in master's degree are eligible to apply in the course.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates with a Master's Degree in the subject concerned/equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% / 50%- as per UGC norms and 60% / 55% - as per AICTE norms for professional courses.

• Selection to M.Phil based on merit on behalf of marks scored in the Vels entrance qualifying exam.
