Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur is an autonomous educational institution located at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh offering courses in various disciplines pertaining to engineering, technology, pharmaceutical science, and environment at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Additionally, it also offers MBA and MCA courses at the postgraduate level. Furthermore, it also offers courses pertaining to research such as M.Phil and Ph.D. It was granted autonomous status in 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through the passing of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universities Act of 2008. It has, since its inception, strived towards carving a niche of itself in providing world-class technical education. It was ranked 185th by the (NIRF) National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2020 amongst the engineering colleges in India. For admission into undergraduate courses such as B.Tech and B.Pharm, students have to undertake the Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). For admission into postgraduate courses such as M.Tech and M.Pharm, students have to undertake the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance (PGECET) Test conducted by APSCHE. In lieu of PGECET, scores obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are also considered for admission into M.Tech courses. Similarly, scores obtained in Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) are acceptable for admission into M.Pharm courses in lieu of PGECET. For admissions into courses such as MBA and MCA, scores obtained in Integrated Common Admission Test (ICET) are taken into consideration.

JNTU, Anantapur B.Pharm Courses
Eligibility Criteria
- For admission into B. Pharm courses in the affiliated colleges of JNTU in the first year, the seats of Category A students are filled by the decision of the Convener of EAMCET and the seats of Category B are filled by the decision of the Management in accordance with the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as far as the eligibility is concerned.

- A valid rank in GATE would also be taken into consideration instead of PGECET for admission into M.Tech.
