Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur is an autonomous educational institution located at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh offering courses in various disciplines pertaining to engineering, technology, pharmaceutical science, and environment at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. For admission into postgraduate courses such as M.Tech and M.Pharm, students have to undertake the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance (PGECET) Test conducted by APSCHE. In lieu of PGECET, scores obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are also considered for admission into M.Tech courses. Similarly, scores obtained in Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) are acceptable for admission into M.Pharm courses in lieu of PGECET. For admissions into courses such as MBA and MCA,  scores obtained in Integrated Common Admission Test (ICET) are taken into consideration.

They should also secure a valid rank in EAMCET. The qualifying mark is 40%. 
  • For admission into B. Tech courses in the affiliated colleges of JNTU in the first year, the seats of Category A students are filled by the decision of the Convener of EAMCET and the seats of Category B are filled by  the decision of the Management in accordance with the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as far as the eligibility is concerned

JNTU, Anantapur B.Pharm Courses

Eligibility Criteria

  • For admission into B. Pharm courses in the affiliated colleges of JNTU in the first year, the seats of Category A students are filled by the decision of the Convener of EAMCET and the seats of Category B are filled by the decision of the Management in accordance with the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as far as the eligibility is concerned.
  • For admission into B. Pharm courses in the affiliated colleges of JNTU in the second year, candidates must have passed the Degree or diploma required for qualification. They should also secure a valid rank in ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Test), in terms of lateral entry

  • A valid rank in GATE would also be taken into consideration instead of PGECET for admission into M.Tech. 
  • If a candidate is applying through the category related to sponsorship, a minimum of one-year of work experience in any organization is considered, provided that the candidate is being sponsored by the organization to undertake M.Tech at JNTU.
  • Spot admissions would be conducted for any seats left in the Convenor Quota
