G.Pulla Reddy Engineering College (GPREC), established in 1985, is one of the earliest private engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. GPREC is the brainchild of the Late Sri G. Pulla Reddy, a renowned philanthropist and great humanist. It is approved by the UGC and AICTE and graded ‘A’ by NAAC. It is affiliated with the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur (JNTUA). According to the GPREC Ranking 2024, India Today ranked it 162nd out of 253 engineering colleges.

GPREC offers BTech as its flagship course. To be eligible for admission, candidates need to secure at least 45% marks (40% in the case of reserved categories) in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The final selection will be based on the AP EAMCET entrance exam. The GPREC cutoff for AP EAMCET 2024 for the general category ranged from 14948 - 175361. The GPREC fees for BTech is INR 3.08 lakhs for all the specializations.

The GPREC Placements 2023 saw 417 students getting placed from all the BTech branches. The highest CTC offered was INR 32.50 LPA and the average CTC recorded was INR 4.78 LPA. Some of the recruiters were Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Infosys, IBM, Wipro, DXC, Value Labs, GGK Technologies, Mphasis, Mindtree, etc.
