NMIMS Hyderabad MBA NMAT Key Features

  • Every question in NMAT is in MCQ format.
  • NMAT is computer-adaptive, so the questions shown to a student depend on how they performed on earlier questions.
  • Students may decide the order of the sections, but they must continue with that chosen order throughout the exam.
  • Each of the three NMAT sections has its own time limit, and students must finish each one within its allotted time.
  • The exam follows a Uniform Marking System. Each correct answer earns 1 mark, while unanswered questions carry no penalty.
  • NMAT has no negative marking. Students may use a calculated guess instead of leaving a question unanswered because an incorrect response does not attract a penalty.
  • Once a student completes and closes a section, it cannot be opened for review. All checking must therefore be done within that section's allotted time.
  • If a section is completed early, its remaining time is not transferred to another section. Every following section must still be finished within its own time limit.
  • A student may take NMAT three times during one admission cycle, giving them a chance to improve their score for admission to top B-schools.
  • Students can schedule the test date, time and test center location according to their convenience.
