Ques. How does VIPS help students with practical learning and industry exposure?

Ans. Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies gives law students regular visits to real courts so they can understand how work happens on the spot. The placement cell supports real-world project internships and industry-based training. Journalism and Information Technology students also attend regular webinars on topics such as Child Labour & Ways to Prevent It and Media Imperialism, along with seminars, workshops and guest lectures for practical learning.

Ques. How are placements offered at VIPS for students outside B.Tech?

Ans. Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies also provides placement support for non B.Tech students. Law students get opportunities with companies such as Luthra & Luthra, Cyril Amarchand and Trilegal. Management students are placed in organizations such as HDFC, ICICI Bank, KPMG and Deloitte. Journalism students, including BJMC students, get roles in media channels such as Times Group, India Today and NDTV.

Ques. How does VIPS support research and academic publishing?

Ans. VIPS publishes the Vivekananda Journal of Research, a biannual peer-reviewed journal with ISSN: 2319-8702. It supports original research across different fields and follows strict ethical rules against research fabrication or falsification. Faculty members and students can publish essays, cases and research papers through the journal, which also helps them build critical thinking and take part in academic discussion.

Ques. How do internships and placements work at VIPS?

Ans. At Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, the T&P cell starts arranging PPOs and pre-placement activities such as PPTs and interviews during the last semester, from January to June. The college conducts resume workshops, GD practice, mock interviews, live projects, guest lectures and industry visits. In 2022-23, 39 companies visited the campus and offered internships.
