  • Qualifying exam: NEET UG is compulsory
  • AIQ seats: 15% of seats are counselled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi
  • State quota seats: 85% of seats are counselled by the Maharashtra State CET Cell, Pune
  • The NEET UG 2024 General Category closing rank for BJMC Pune was 704, placing it among the toughest MBBS cutoffs in Maharashtra

  • Qualifying exam: NEET PG
  • Seat allotment: 50% AIQ through MCC and 50% Maharashtra State quota through the State CET Cell

M.Ch and DM (Super-Speciality)

Admission to super-speciality courses is through NEET SS, which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). A completed MD, MS or DNB qualification in the relevant parent speciality is required. Seats are limited, and competition remains high because BJMC trains students in a tertiary care hospital setup.

B.Sc Nursing and BPMT

Paramedical admissions are based on Class 12 PCB marks and are conducted through the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Students must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 45% aggregate.

BJMC Pune Campus and Infrastructure

BJMC Pune has a 43-acre campus in Pune, Maharashtra, next to Sassoon General Hospital. The campus includes academic departments, laboratories, lecture halls, a central library and hostels for medical students. Its location in central Pune gives students access to city facilities and clinical exposure within Pune’s healthcare network.

Sassoon General Hospital, the attached teaching hospital, has 1,296 beds and functions as a multi-super-speciality tertiary care centre. It is one of Pune’s largest government hospitals and treats patients from Pune district and nearby areas. Its departments cover major clinical areas such as Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, Nephrology, Emergency Medicine, Trauma and Paediatrics.

The college provides hostel accommodation for MBBS and PG students. Because Sassoon General Hospital has a high patient load, BJMC students get exposure to emergency, outpatient and inpatient cases. This clinical environment is useful for hands-on learning and NEET PG preparation.
