Read Full ReviewThe placement and job oppurtunities at our college are very less. Most of the students have to go for off-campus placements. The eligibility criteria for placements is that the student shouldn't have any back in any subject in any of the semesters until that are held till that time. There is only one recruiter,i.e, PISOFT. The highest package offered is 300000/- per annum and the average being 150000/- per annum. The percentage of students getting placed is 2 percent.
The good aspects are that the faculty of our computer department is wonderful,i.e, very highly qualified, polite and very helpful, the labs are well built, the campus is quite spacious. The bad aspects are that the campus hasn't been built well, the infrastructure hasn't been maintained since the college is built, the thinking and mentality of the students is worst, sports infrastructure is worst despite a big sized cricket playground but it is under progress. The admission takes place through the JKCET entrance examination which is being conducted by JKBOPEE in the month of may or june every year. After that, colleges are alloted to the students in the counselling rounds based upon their merit,i.e,rank in the JKCET examination. The counselling rounds take place at the JKBOPEE office. I didn't had to prepare for JKCET because due to covid, the counselling rounds were conducted on the basis of merit list of class 12th score and JKCET wasn't conducted.

The companies that visit to recruit the students include last and the companies that visit to recruit students include L&T, Whitehouse Ltd., etc. The number of offers made by them is not too much but lies somewhere between 40 and 50. The highest package offered to students was 6.5 LPA last year, and the average package was about 3.5 LPA. Around 20 to 30% of students get placed in the on-campus drives. My plans after getting the degree will be to prepare for UPSC CSE.
The main reason for selecting this college for me was the reputation of the college in my region. The good aspects of this college in the good aspects of this college include good faculty and the support from the notice in and the support from the nonteaching staff. We know every institution has its pros and cons. The pros of this college include good teaching faculties, industrial-oriented studies, etc. Talking about its cons, the college is very far from the city, and the transport facilities are a little less. Now talking about the admission process, To join this college, one need to go through the JKCET Exam, which is conducted annually by JKBOPEE. The cut-off for different branches varies, but if you need to join top branches like civil and computer, you need to secure the top 200 rank, which is a difficult task. To prepare for this exam, you should focus on NCERT Books only.
