- The thing I like most about the college is the constant support offered by the faculty.
- Think I like about this college is the campus life . As the campus is situated on the bank of river chenab , the Scenic view from the college campus is very Serene.
Dislikes
- The thing I dislike about my college is the location of the college campus , the campus is situated very far from the main city , we face too many problems in reaching the campus on time as the transport facility is very poor .
- The canteen in our college is not very good. If we need to buy anything we have to go to distant spot to buy.
Remarks :
The main reason for selecting this college for me was the reputation of the college in my region. The good aspects of this college in the good aspects of this college include good faculty and the support from the notice in and the support from the nonteaching staff. We know every institution has its pros and cons. The pros of this college include good teaching faculties, industrial-oriented studies, etc. Talking about its cons, the college is very far from the city, and the transport facilities are a little less. Now talking about the admission process, To join this college, one need to go through the JKCET Exam, which is conducted annually by JKBOPEE. The cut-off for different branches varies, but if you need to join top branches like civil and computer, you need to secure the top 200 rank, which is a difficult task. To prepare for this exam, you should focus on NCERT Books only.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The main reason for me to choose this course was the reputation of the civil department. The course curriculum is very relevant to the field of study. It is sufficient to make a student industry-ready. The college has two types of faculties, one is permanent and another on an academic arrangement basis. The permanent faculty is Highly educated, and most of them are PhDqualified.Whereas some of the academic arrangement faculties are also PhD qualified, most are only M.tech. qualified. The teaching method in college is traditional using books, board, and chalk only. The internal assessment exams are held twice a semester and the difficulty level is moderate. Talking about the final exams, the question paper is set by the University of Jammu and the Difficulty level for the final exam is also moderate. The fees sometimes get hiked by only a margin of Rs.100-200. The total cost to study in college may go up to Rs.4 lakh. There are no specific scholarship schemes, but the reserved category students can avail of scholarships.
Internships Opportunities :
No private company comes to our college to make offers for internships. The students themselves have to approach the companies for internships. As I am a student of the civil branch, I am doing an internship at PWD, and I am working as a supervisor on the construction site as an intern. The project for my internship is the Construction of a Fertilizer lab in the Directorate of Agriculture, J&K.
Placement Experience :
Students should have no active backlog to be eligible to sit in placement drives. The companies that visit to recruit the students include last and the companies that visit to recruit students include L&T, Whitehouse Ltd., etc. The number of offers made by them is not too much but lies somewhere between 40 and 50. The highest package offered to students was 6.5 LPA last year, and the average package was about 3.5 LPA. Around 20 to 30% of students get placed in the on-campus drives. My plans after getting the degree will be to prepare for UPSC CSE.
Campus Life :
The college hosts 2 cultural events every year, one of them is a cultural fest named WAVES, which is organized in February, other is NCEEITTET. The infrastructure of the college is not very good but not very bad. College has different blocks for different departments, a library, and a canteen. Talking about the library, each type of book that may be linked to engineering is available in the library. The classrooms are well-spaced and well-ventilated. Classrooms are provided with ceiling fans, smart boards, etc. These sports and extracurricular activities are not very much supported in a college. For the hostel, The messy food quality is not too good but also not too bad. The menu for the hostel is designed by the students themselves. The registration process for the hostel is too simple, you just need to fill registration form and submitted to the warden's office, if there is a room vacant, you maybe allocated a hostel room on the same day. The rooms or PGs are also available in nearby places but they are too expensive.

Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu

Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages.
