Dislikes
- I dislike many things like there is not good opportunity in placements Placements are not that good that is qhy many students suffer from that as well Academic claendar is not that much well established academic claendar is most of the times revised
- I aslo dislike the sports activites in our university as they didn't gave everybody chance to participate in it The most hated part is transport facility which is too costly to travel there so i would recommend everyone to be there with their private vehicles to avoid over charging
Remarks :
I decided to join this college because it is well known in my area and many seniors recommended it. The main reason was that the course I wanted was available here and the fees were not too high, so it was affordable for my family. The placement record is also decent compared to other colleges nearby, which gave me confidence about future opportunities. For admission, I had to clear the jee mains exam in which i got 91 percentile. The cut?off was a bit high, but luckily my marks were just above the required score. There was no group discussion, but I had to appear for a short personal interview. They asked me about my favorite subjects and why I was interested in this course. To prepare, I mostly revised my 12th?class syllabus, especially NCERT books, and practiced some previous year question papers. One of the good things about this college is the helpful teaching staff and the peaceful environment on campus. Another positive point is that the admission process was very simple
Course Curriculum Overview :
i choose this course because I have always been interested in this field and I believe it can give me good career opportunities in the future. The curriculum is designed in a way that it covers both theory and practical parts, which makes learning more interesting. We also get assignments and projects that actually help us understand the topics better. The faculty here is quite experienced. Most of our teachers have master’s or PhD degrees and they explain things in a simple way so that even an average student can understand. They are also friendly and approachable, so we can clear our doubts without any hesitation. Some of them even share their own experiences from the industry, which motivates us a lot. Our term exams are usually held on time, and the level of difficulty is moderate. If you attend classes regularly and revise, it’s not too hard to pass. Practical exams are also conducted properly, and marks are given fairly. Overall, the academics are structured
Internships Opportunities :
No I have not opted any internship yet because I am still studying. College do provide some internship chances in later semesters, like companies L&T, PWD, Infosys come for short term training. Many of my seniors did internships with stipend around 5k–7k per month and they worked on projects like site survey, estimation and some software modules. For now I am focusing on my studies, maybe next year I will apply for internship to get practical experience. In our college there is system where companies like L&T, PWD, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and some local industries visit for internships. They offer roles like site trainee, junior engineer, design assistant or even software testing for computer students. Stipend is not always given, some companies give around 5k–8k monthly, but many internships are unpaid, they focus more on giving students industry exposure. I have heard from my seniors that in their internship they get to work on real projects like site survey,
Placement Experience :
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am paying per semester 36000 tution fee and hostel fee is about 6500 per semester excluding mess fees Mess fee is avout 2500 per month If i take total feee the total fee per year is approximately 120000 per year which is not too high if compared to other institutions so i think it is the good fee You also have to pay 2000 security deposit at the time of admission and also you have to pay 2000 as admission fee which nearly negligible in comparison to other colleges Also if you want membership of gym you have to pay 500 and momthly 150 There is also full fee tution waiver for ews candidates as they will have to pay 0 fee as tution fee There is not any scholarship provided as far as i am aware about this so i dont have any idea about scholarships Library fee is about 500 and if you need bus you can take bus as well which charges nearly about 5000 to 6000 per month Also you can add more charges like for daily essentials if you neraly add it would be about 2 lakh per year including
Campus Life :
Life in campus is overall good and chill. We have many clubs like cultural club, tech club and sports club, and students can join them based on their interest. There are also some small events in between the semesters which keep the environment lively and students active. Library of our college has many books and journals, sometimes we don’t get the latest editions but most of the study material is available. Classrooms have projectors and good sitting arrangements, though in summer sometimes fans are not enough. We also have a decent gym and sports ground where we can play cricket, badminton, football etc. Social life here is nice, seniors are helpful and there are WhatsApp groups and college clubs where we share notes and updates. College cafeteria food is okay, not very great but manageable. Some students also prefer to eat outside as there are small food joints near the campus. Overall, campus life is enjoyable and we make a lot of memories with friends
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted for hostel in my college. The hostel mess is overall ok-ok, not too good not too bad, somedays food taste fine and somedays its just manageble. Menu is like they provide dal, chawal, roti daily and sabji keep changing, sunday they give something special like chicken or paneer. Quality is average, sometimes oil feels bit heavy. Infrastructure of hostel is old type but rooms are fine, 2-3 persons in one room and common bathrooms. WiFi is there but works slow in peak hours. There is small common room also where we can sit and chill. For apply hostel room we had to fill form at the time of admission only, they ask for some documents like admission receipt and ID proof. Then allotment is on first come first serve basis, and fees is not too high, I think it is affordable compared to outside PG. If someone dont get hostel, many students take PG outside in nearby area. Locality is safe and many students stay there but rent outside is bit more compared to hostel.

Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.

Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages.
