Even in the absence of a playground, our sports teams have performed well in the university games. There are various clubs like Music, Film, Dance, and Fashion clubs run by students. As I said there is no Men's Hostel in the college. From my friends, I have heard that the food at the ladies' hostel is below average. For SC/ST students Men's Hostel facility is provided by the government in Vellayambalam & Mannanthala
Read Full ReviewOn one hand, my college is a Government College, without unwanted restrictions on dressing or similar things. The Agneya fest by the college and departmental fests (Electrical department hosted the "cosphi") happened annually, and they were really vibrant, pulling students from other colleges too. College library is more focused on the textbooks and useful references, and there are enough books to get you through BTech. Volunteer group NSS and departmental groups (like IEEE for electrical) had chapter in our college. Classrooms are more or less traditional and old fashioned, but there is a projector, in case someone needs to use that to teach. Strikes by student unions are a sour side of studying in a government college. But it's good that you can go home once a strike starts. There were other clubs, like for arts and literature, but they were low profile, known only at the time when they conduct competitions.

There are numerous clubs and societies which support the students' growth socially and for the industry. Infrastructure is decent. Not many laboratories but sufficient for the total students.
