Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), formerly known as the College of Engineering, Sakharale, was established in 1983. The institute is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC and is affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Several programs offered by RIT are accredited and reaccredited by NBA and AICTE, New Delhi. According to the RIT Ranking 2023, NIRF Innovation ranked the institute 101st out of 312 colleges in the overall category.

RIT offers BTech as its flagship program. To be eligible, candidates must have passed HSC or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects and secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories). Final selection is based on scores obtained in the MHT CET or JEE Main examination. The MHT CET cutoff 2024 for BTech CSE was 90.83, and for BTech AI and ML, it was 88.52. The total course fee for the BTech program is INR 5.67 lakhs.

In the RIT Placement 2024, over 441 BTech students secured placements. The highest package offered for BTech students was INR 9 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 4 LPA. Prominent recruiters included Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Cognizant Genc, ABS, Acme Grade, Brillio, Capgemini, Centiro, and others.
