Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC), established in 1998, is a private institution affiliated with MAKAUT, Kolkata, and is approved by AICTE. The college holds NBA and NAAC accreditations for its academic standards. In terms of NSEC rankings, it was ranked 251 out of 300 colleges in India by NIRF in 2020 and achieved the 136th position out of 160 engineering colleges in 2024 as per Outlook.

NSEC Kolkata offers BTech as its flagship course. Candidates must pass their 10+2 (HSC) examination with PCM as compulsory subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories) to be eligible. Final admission is based on scores from the WBJEE or JEE Main entrance exams. The NSEC Cutoff 2024 for WBJEE for the General Category Round 1 ranged from 14339 to 108638 for various BTech specializations. The NSEC fee for BTech across all specializations is INR 25.01 lakhs.

NSEC Placement 2022 concluded with over 600 job offers with over 60 companies visiting the college for recruitment. The highest package offered was 60 LPA and the average package stood at 6.05 LPA. Some of the recruiters were Adroit, AGS, Amazon, Amdocs, Chegg, Cognizant, Godrej, Microsoft, TVS, Infosys, Wipro, etc.
