- College looks pretty from inside, there is cafeteria available
- IT faculty is nice, the cafeteria is nice, there are 3 cafeterias in our college
Dislikes
- College is far from city area, you have to travel quite a lot to reach college
- College has no hostel, so it's upto you where you want to live
Remarks :
Only wbjee or jee mains rank is needed (when I entered the college in 2022 the cut off for CSE was 12k in wbjee rank) No written tests were taken, you can apply through the wbjee portal( if you are trying to apply through it)
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I want to work in tech, the faculty is mid and we have to give 2 term exams in each year, 8 internals and 4 practical internals (in each year) Most of the faculty members don't know about what they are teaching but some are very nice and talented
Internships Opportunities :
No I have not opted for any internships as of now but I plan to do so in a few months, the college do not offer any internships you have to find it yourself from linkedin or internshala etc and one bar thing is college won't give you NOC in case you've got in company internship
Placement Experience :
Campus placement is available, and the student needs to have 0 supply and 6+ cgpa in order to sit in campus placements Mass recruiters like TCS and WIPRO visit our college, in 2024 tcs alone recruited 250 from the college
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees is 5,50000 and the fees increase every 2 years (50k approx) And those who are from tfw they give very less amount of money compared to others also svmcm scholarship is available for students(2.4 lakhs in 4 years) who passed their 12th boards from west bengal board and they have to maintain 6.7+ cgpa per year to maintain the scholarship
Campus Life :
Many clubs are available anyone can enter the clubs if they are interested. Library is available you can easily take books using your library card and even can read in the reading room which is attached to the library
Hostel Facilities :
We do not have hostels in our college, but there are multiple pgs and flats are available nearby, students can rent those places, in pgs you'll be provided food 3 times and if you rent a flat you're all on your own, you have to do everything yourself

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
