Reality of tier 2 college
Remarks :
I had to clear WBJEE for getting admission in this college. My rank was somewhere 14k . I was predetermined that I had to opt CSE so i checked the cut off of each college in the last 5 years and also after discussion with some of my teachers I was affirmed that I had to take admission in this college. I had checked their brochure and visited the college before admission and tried to find out about their placement record . I was amused by the fact that my college has one of the best average package record in West Bengal among private colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chooseed CSE as it has the best placement record in our country and in Kolkata and even in our college. As I am in first year the subject is same for all the branches . The faculty of my section are really very good , especially maths and physics faculty is good. Every teacher is highly qualified, most of them have completed their phd. Our exams are conducted by Makaut university as our college is affiliated under them. Our theory exam was from 3rd January till 13th January. So we had approximately 4 months to complete our syllabus. The question of every subject was moderate , and highly dependent on pyq. Anyone reading this review, studying in makaut , please buy organizer book and just read that at least in 1st year , in subjects like physics, chemistry,basic electrical engineering.

There are many financial aid for students like SVMCM for students from Bengal. There is also a aid for non Bengali students. As my father is a central government employee, I got a financial aid from the central government of approximately 20 k per semester.
Campus Life :
I have just completed my 1st semester, so i will say from my experiences in first 6 months. Firstly we were given freshers party on November and the atmosphere there was buzzing and electrical. Though we have a very small campus, the arrangement done by our seniors and the eco cultural club was outstanding. The main fest MESMERIZER usually happens in February. Our library is pretty packed all the time . We have a very good air conditioned reading room also there is no hastle of renewal of books ,as it is done online through our library portal. Though we donot have our own ground , I have played badminton in my college in 3 sports event in our college in 6 Months. We have quite a few club like eco cultural club, sports club,gnx community,google developer club,phoenix club( this contains robotics,gaming,tech fest)

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
