Best college in punjab.

What I Liked

Everything is great about this college and it has a good infrastructure good faculty and the campus life is also good the Chandigarh life is also good and there a lot of things available like many clubs in college for students

What I didn’t like

Few teachers and slow process of work and hostel waiting is what is dont like about the college

Placement Experience:

The placements are good every year companies visit the campus for placement and companies like delloite, zs, infosys, tcs,etc many other companies visit the avg package is 6lpa and highest goes upto 40 lpa

Remarks:

The college is great not alot of restrictions like private universities and infrastructure is decent bunks are allowed attendance is also not strict great college and alot of diversity for students and beautiful chandigarh life

BEST you can get if your rank is not so good.

What I Liked

Infrastructure is quite decent. If you wanna blindly compare it with IITs or NITs then you are idiot. They providing well enough.
Peer group is also very good. There is no sir mam culture here. Seniors are quite approachable and friendly.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite decent as well. I don't have much knowledge about that. I am in first year only. One of my known seniors got placed with a package of 14 lpa in the start of final year only. So opportunities are provided. It's upto you and your dedication.

Remarks:

Admission process i quite simple. Score sufficient marks in JEE mains exam. And then apply for Jac Chandigarh counselling. There will be around 5 rounds for couselling. You will get the branch according to your JEE rank. Cut off is not so high, you can get Cse or IT at around 70k

What I Liked

The infrastructure of the college is what I like as it is really neat and always changing
I love Campus Life because of the diverse environment and events

What I didn’t like

The faculty sometimes are not good and get arrogant
Administration is not good they'll not say anything to the point and are always arrogant

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is good as there are so many companies that visit our campus for campus placement and to sit in campus placement students have to take TPP(training placement programme) which is offered by our college to students by paying an additional 10000 rupees. Students need to maintain an average CGPA of 7.5 or above to sit in campus placement.

Remarks:

The good thing about my college is that I provide a good platform for students in various fields. It organises so many hackathons, events, tech talks and many other things that help students get ahead and establish themselves in a much more secure way. To get admitted to this college one can take its scholarship exam CUCAT, or can get admitted based on 12th marks, and JEE marks as well. I took the CUCAT exam to get admitted to this college and to prepare for it I revised the 12th Maths, Physics< Chemisty, English and Aptitude and the exam was a piece of cake with all these topics covered thoroughly.

Review for UIET Chandigarh.

What I Liked

Campus life is amazing and senior are also very cooperative.
The best thing is that there is no ragging at all.

What I didn’t like

There is no relative grading system which is a major problem.
All the students doesn't get hostel and price of pg is quite high.

Placement Experience:

Placement is descent and majority of students from cse, it, ece gets the placement. Major companies are Amazon, Deloitte, Policy Bazar, etc. The highest placement is 45lpa and the average is around 9lpa. I have also thought to go for placement after completing my degree.

Remarks:

I got this college based on my jee mains rank. I got ECE here in the 72000 rank. You will get this college from JAC Chandigarh counseling. I chose this college because of its amazing campus life. As you can interact with students from different departments.

All you should know about UIET chandigarh before you Go there

What I Liked

the first thing that i like very much about this college is the ROI(return of investment) as the fees is really less and the quality of education they are providing if you are really series about your future you can definitely get a placement more then double of your total investment in your studies and at the end we all are here for a good package and a better future so i found this college really worthy for getting good education in really cheaper cost
the second thing that i like the most about this college is the definitely the campus life . Going college with friends mass bunks and going to sukhna lake for chilling enjoying chandigarh night life walking to NFS(Night street food) for tasty meals playing games full night with friends in PU hostels and we also have wifi all over our campus with decent net speed so you can say there is no lack in facilties. i would definitely say visit PU once and you will love the environment

What I didn’t like

one of the things that i really don't like about our college is its infrastructure our college really needs renovation the condition of walls toilets windows are really bad there as its a govt building what else we can expect but all these buildings definitely puts a bad impression on the view of the college on their own student minds and on other civilians too .
the second thing that i really don't like about our college is that we have 2 campuses in panjab university and uiet is in south campus and boys hostel is in north campus due to which boys always need to take an electric rikshaw which is sometimes available and some times not due to this we boys have to walk for almost 30 minutes to reach college whereas girls hostel is in south campus so they don't need any means of transport to reach college this problem is really bad for boys as they have to leave very early for their class and walk for almost 4 km to reach clg if they don't get electric rikshaw well boys don't worry most of the time e rikshaw is available

Placement Experience:

Placements here in Uiet are decent with the lowest package from 5 lpa to 35 - 45 lpa based on your skills and sometimes branch too. some of the regular visitors in our college for placements are ProcDNA, Oracle, TCS, Mahindra, etc we also have some of our alumni in google microsoft Amazon Flipkart. The average package of our college can be said as 6-7 LPA with over 70% + students getting placed and alot of them going for higher studies too eligibility criteria for placements in our college is almost the same as other colleges people with an overall 7 cgpa will be allowed by most of the companies remember to not have any backlog to sit in placements, my plans after the degree are to go for higher studies as I am in biotech I am looking forward towards my masters.

Remarks:

honestly, I cleared my Jee mains exam with a 92 percentile score and I was unable to score 75 % in the class 12th exam due to which I was unable to opt for nits so I was looking for some Govt college, and the best I could think for was quiet chd as Chandigarh is an amazing place to stay for 4 years with the college has very good ROI(return of investment) as the fees are really low in comparison to other govt colleges. I got admitted here from JAC Chandigarh counseling. The OR/CR for admission in this clg is given on the JAC CHD website but for reference, I can give you a figure that admission here starts from rank 20-30k for cse GEN to 3 lakhs for GEN Biotech rest information is provided on the website.

Worst review????

What I Liked

Faculty, campus life, attendance policy, placement, hostels and so many things
Faculties are so good and also best is attendce policy you get enough time to do other things and enjoy college life

What I didn’t like

Mainly infrastructure there is only 3 block but labs are well equipped and there is no AC in classrooms
I disliked only infrastructure it can be better than this.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria are 6.5 cg and also back in-semester paper Amazon Deloitte Mahindra TCS Infosys Amex and many companies visit here more than 40 companies visit the campus. Highest is 45 lac(off campus) and 26lac(on campus) and average is 9.10 lac If you are from CSE or ECE then most of the students are placed and if you are from the core branch then around 60-70 Percent which is a decent

Remarks:

Since the placement is decent un UIET and also the fee is also less, this was the best I couldn't get also it has an exam named Pumeet by clearing this you can also change your branch so this is also a reason. When I talked about this college I got good feedback as the faculty are well trained and have good knowledge of their field and they are helpful also these are the things why would I choose this college. For admission, I enrolled for HAC Chandigarh and counseling is done based on JEE main rank cutoff for biotechnology in the general category is around 2.5 lac, and for CSE 40k is 50k and mech 1.2 lac. Here attendance policy is not so strict so if you want to do startup or other activities you can do them here.
