- the first thing that i like very much about this college is the ROI(return of investment) as the fees is really less and the quality of education they are providing if you are really series about your future you can definitely get a placement more then double of your total investment in your studies and at the end we all are here for a good package and a better future so i found this college really worthy for getting good education in really cheaper cost
- the second thing that i like the most about this college is the definitely the campus life . Going college with friends mass bunks and going to sukhna lake for chilling enjoying chandigarh night life walking to NFS(Night street food) for tasty meals playing games full night with friends in PU hostels and we also have wifi all over our campus with decent net speed so you can say there is no lack in facilties. i would definitely say visit PU once and you will love the environment
Dislikes
- one of the things that i really don't like about our college is its infrastructure our college really needs renovation the condition of walls toilets windows are really bad there as its a govt building what else we can expect but all these buildings definitely puts a bad impression on the view of the college on their own student minds and on other civilians too .
- the second thing that i really don't like about our college is that we have 2 campuses in panjab university and uiet is in south campus and boys hostel is in north campus due to which boys always need to take an electric rikshaw which is sometimes available and some times not due to this we boys have to walk for almost 30 minutes to reach college whereas girls hostel is in south campus so they don't need any means of transport to reach college this problem is really bad for boys as they have to leave very early for their class and walk for almost 4 km to reach clg if they don't get electric rikshaw well boys don't worry most of the time e rikshaw is available

honestly, I cleared my Jee mains exam with a 92 percentile score and I was unable to score 75 % in the class 12th exam due to which I was unable to opt for nits so I was looking for some Govt college, and the best I could think for was quiet chd as Chandigarh is an amazing place to stay for 4 years with the college has very good ROI(return of investment) as the fees are really low in comparison to other govt colleges. I got admitted here from JAC Chandigarh counseling. The OR/CR for admission in this clg is given on the JAC CHD website but for reference, I can give you a figure that admission here starts from rank 20-30k for cse GEN to 3 lakhs for GEN Biotech rest information is provided on the website.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In this college, as per my Rank, I was able to get a seat on EEE but I chose to do biotech engineering I decided there are some people here who didn't get their favorite Branches but don't worry we have a really easy exam for branch upgradation which you can give to study at your favorite branch. qualification of faculties here is decent some are PhD some are IIT graduates and some are foreign returned graduates and their teaching method varies but the quality and the level of education they provide is really good they will never disappoint you if you want to study we have 3 exams 2 minor(Mid sem) and 1 Major (end sem) minors are of 30 marks best of 2 minors marks will be counted 20 marks internal and then 50 marks major with 50 marks practical exam too. usually, minors are tough than majors and checking is hard in minors by most of the faculty too. As already discussed fees are really low in quiet chd total cost will be somewhere around 4.5lakhs
Internships Opportunities :
No, as I have just completed my first year I am not willing to go for any internship right now but in our 2nd and 3rd years we are expected to go for an internship some of us will get this internship from our college on our 2nd year but you can get an internship in a company like Mahindra motors and many more.
Placement Experience :
Placements here in Uiet are decent with the lowest package from 5 lpa to 35 - 45 lpa based on your skills and sometimes branch too. some of the regular visitors in our college for placements are ProcDNA, Oracle, TCS, Mahindra, etc we also have some of our alumni in google microsoft Amazon Flipkart. The average package of our college can be said as 6-7 LPA with over 70% + students getting placed and alot of them going for higher studies too eligibility criteria for placements in our college is almost the same as other colleges people with an overall 7 cgpa will be allowed by most of the companies remember to not have any backlog to sit in placements, my plans after the degree are to go for higher studies as I am in biotech I am looking forward towards my masters.
Campus Life :
Campus life in UIET is 10 on 10 as we have 550 acres of campus inside Punjab University including swimming pool indoor courts large grounds gardens library and STUC (campus food court) nightlife is great here you'll always see people chilling jamming around Gandhi Bhawan punjab university talking about our UIET department we have 3 blocks canteen and quiet ground as our department (engineering department) is a separate department in the whole university there are more departments too which you'll get to know sooner our fest name is 'Gunj' its a lovely fest where we get to see lots of competitions performances DJ dancing we get to see this fest on somewhere on Feb march, about sports Punjab university in which our college is given world-class facilities for sports if you play well or wanna learn you will never get disappointed we have UIET team and Panjab university team as well we have various clubs for dancing singing photography coding everything you want.

To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
