North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) is a central government autonomous medical institute started in 1987 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. MD and MS residents at NEIGRIHMS get a monthly stipend during training as per central government rules. Hostel rooms are available for male and female residents, with yearly charges of INR 5,000 to INR 12,000. For most postgraduate medical residents, the stipend brings the effective education cost close to zero.

NEIGRIHMS Admission Process
