CEED Result and Scorecard Dates

Part-A responses can be downloaded only until result declaration. Save them before 3 March if you want to retain your own answer record. The later scorecard window does not extend response-sheet access.

How to Check CEED Result 2027

• Open the CEED 2027 website and follow the result link when it is released on 3 March.
• Sign in through candidate login and check the Part-A marks, shortlisting status and any displayed Part-B marks or rank.
• Return from 10 March to download the scorecard. Save it before the 31 July deadline.
• Check your identifying details and keep the downloaded copy for institute applications.

IIT Bombay will not send a printed scorecard by post. The registration photograph and signature are used on the scorecard, but the scorecard is not a substitute for proof of date of birth, category or disability.

The announced download window ends on 31 July. There is no paid extension stated in the 2027 brochure; a later admission application is not a reason to leave the download until after that date.

CEED Marks and Rank: What Will Be Shown?

If your Part-A score does not meet the applicable shortlisting cutoff, Part B will not be evaluated. A missing Part-B mark in that situation is not the same as a zero awarded to an evaluated drawing response.

Every shortlisted candidate receives a rank. That rank is a CEED result, not an institute admission offer. Individual institutes may use additional eligibility checks, tests and interviews before making their selection.

How Is the Final CEED Score Calculated?

Final score = 0.25 × Part-A marks + 0.75 × Part-B marks.

For example, if a shortlisted candidate scores 81 in Part A and 60 in Part B, the calculation is:

This worked example gives a score of 65.25. It does not predict a rank or an admission outcome. The published coefficients apply to the Part-A and Part-B marks; they are not a conversion from marks to percentile.

CEED 2027 Part-A Cutoff

The Part-A cutoff will be announced on 4 February 2027. For GEN candidates, it equals the mean Part-A mark plus half the standard deviation of all candidates' Part-A marks. The mean and standard deviation are rounded to two decimal places.

This cutoff decides whose Part-B booklet is evaluated. It is not an institute's M.Des. admission cutoff, and it is not calculated from the final weighted score.

A historical closing rank or admission shortlist from one institute cannot replace this exam-level threshold. Programme eligibility, category, available seats and any further selection stages belong to the separate institute application.

CEED Score Validity and Download Deadline

The CEED 2027 score is valid for one year from the result declaration date, not from the day you download it. Download access ends much earlier, on 31 July 2027.

The CEED office retains a digital scorecard record for five years from issue. That retention period does not make the score valid for five years or extend the online download window.

Answer booklets are kept for three months after result declaration. They are not shared with candidates, and record retention does not create a right to re-evaluation.

M.Des Admission After CEED Result

CEED does not run a common M.Des. seat-allotment process for all participating institutes. Apply separately to each institute and programme you want to join. Each admission notice specifies the qualifying degree, application deadline, documents and selection stages.

Some of these institutes also use CEED for Ph.D. admission. The programme eligibility and selection route can differ from M.Des.; qualifying CEED alone does not establish eligibility for every listed programme.

• Check the programme's qualifying-degree requirement before paying its application fee.
• Submit the separate institute application and the documents requested in that notice.
• Follow the institute's shortlist and complete any further test or interview.
• Accept an offer and complete document verification through that institute.

The CEED 2026 question paper provides practice material for the exam stage. An institute's later admission test or interview may assess additional programme-specific work.

Can CEED Marks Be Rechecked?

CEED 2027 does not allow re-evaluation or re-totalling. This applies to the assessed exam result. Part B is evaluated holistically against the criteria stated in the questions, with independent verification steps.

The opportunity to report an answer-key discrepancy comes earlier: comments on the Part-A draft key close on 21 January 2027 at 5 pm. That window is not a post-result request to change subjective Part-B marks.
