What Does the CEED Scorecard Look Like?

What is a Good Rank in CEED 2025?

A rank under 100 is considered excellent for securing admission to the top IITs and NITs.

A rank between 101-400 is still competitive for admission to most design institutes.

Ranks above 700 may face challenges in securing admission in top-tier institutes but could still find options in niche design programs.

Rank Range Category Description
1 - 100 Top Performers Excellent rank: Candidates with a rank in this range generally secure admission to top IITs like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Guwahati for M.Des. programs.
101 - 200 Very Good Very good rank: Candidates can expect admission to reputed IITs and NITs for M.Des., with more options in lesser popular design streams.
201 - 400 Good Good rank: Candidates with this rank range might get admission to several IITs and NITs, though some highly competitive streams may be out of reach.
401 - 700 Average Average rank: Admission to less competitive design programs and institutes. Limited options for highly ranked design streams like CS and EC.
700+ Below Average Below average rank: Likely to have limited or no options in top institutes but could find opportunities in smaller or emerging design programs.

CEED 2025 Cut Off

The Part A cutoff is determined using the formula: Cutoff Marks = Mean + (Standard Deviation / 2)

  • For Part B, the cutoff marks are not released separately. Candidates must qualify Part A to have their Part B evaluated. The final score is calculated as:
  • Final Score = 0.25 × Marks in Part A + 0.75 × Marks in Part B
